What changes do YOU see with Froyo 2.2?

Not sure if this has been reported or confirmed yet.

But for me after installing Pandora and adding the widget, if I move the app to SD, the widget will no longer will work. The only way to get the widget back is to uninstall and reinstall.

Also whenever I reboot my swype no longer will swype. I can peck out letters, but that's it. But if I switch from swype to stock KB and back to swype, all is well again.

Other than that all is good ;)

Btw, Chrome to Phone is a cool new feature.
 
All my downloads are missing in the "downloads" section of my marketplace except for Google Maps. Too bad I can't test the update all button. But all my apps are still installed. Anyone else having this problem?

I don't have a downloads tab either, but if I hit the menu button, there is a "downloads" option there to see my downloaded apps.
 
Something wacky with downloads. I am finding incompatibility with AppBrain. It will not properly sync my apps.

Also, Market cannot find all of the apps available, that I can find on my wife's EVO that was not upgraded. For example,

Froyo definitely takes time to gain its senses.

I promise in a few hours or so you'll see all of your apps as before.

I had the exact same observable as you - I guess patience is the watchword for this sort of update.
 
Agree with Early...took about an hour for Froyo to completely work itself out but now that it has I can say with certainty that my phone is exceptionally faster than it was prior to the install. This is one happy "beta tester" at the moment :)

Is the issue that its always running or that they're running and sucking up a lot of CPU time?

You can d/l SystemPanel Lite from the Market for free (then like it so much you buy it) and check on that.

If it's just a question of things running, that's not necessarily a problem - if they hang in the background and don't consume any needed resources, it's a don't care.

It seems if you use the HTC Music widget, the Music app comes up. Not sure what's up with voicemail.

But it doesnt seem to consume any resources. Was just curious. Didnt happen with 2.1

Back up your apps to the SD card. Swap the sd card over to your phone. Install your apps. Swap the card back.

edit: rats! wanted that to embed, but i suck at that. oh well; still works.

make sure you manually change the resolution to 720p and 480p respectively.
 
I have lost speech to text. Where the speaker icon was on the keyboard it now shows EN and will toggle to ES.

I am also seeing that when testing flash by going to an radio station and clicking listen now it launches the messaging application.

Can anyone else duplicate this?
