Upgrading from a OG Droid here. It is dying a slow death. I am afraid to update the ROM again to CM7.1. I am afraid it will not boot up again. I am hoping a new load fixes it because I am basically stuck with a failing phone until this comes out. I do not want to be forced into a iPhone 4S.

Well, I WAS going to hijack a family upgrade and get this device, but must first confirm if the microsd is really missing as a feature. I like my D3, but want some 4G luv now, since coming to my area in November. If no microsd, I will wait until spring, since the 28nm LTE chips should be out then (better battery life) and in a device.

I can use my D3 as a back-up and for trips out of country, so would still keep my D3.

The Razr/Spyder/DROID HD...lol...is getting announced today! May be an option if u want a big screen and 4G...

Woaaaaaaaaa! Really? I tried the 4S, screen was just too small, and no 4G was painful. Very well made though I must say!
I actually like the smaller screen (easier to use one-handed) but I've been wanting to switch to Android for a long time now. Unfortunately, there's one app keeping me on iOS (Stanza). Now that iOS5 killed Stanza and it doesn't seem likely that Amazon will be updating it anymore, there's nothing keeping me on iOS. Selling the iPhone 4S to finance my purchase of a factory unlocked Nexus Prime. You can say what you want about Apple but their products fetch quite a premium even used.

Upgrading from an iPhone 4S. ;)

I'm also thinking of upgrading from the 4S. I went from the Droid X to the iPhone 4S, and I'm getting impatient waiting for a jailbreak.

I have 10 days left to decide if I want to return it or not, thinking I may to check out the Galaxy Nexus, HTC Rezound (Vigor), and Droid RAZR. If I do return it, I'm leaning towards the Galaxy Nexus for now...

I'll be coming from the DInc.
(I just want to hold this phone first to make sure its comfortable in my hand before jumping ship from htc)

Upgrading from HTC Incredible. I am looking forward to no more "low space" warnings and a phone that doesn't randomly re-boot for no reason a few times a day.

Thunderbolt I love it but I've always wanted a VZW Nexus phone . I'm glad I did the 1yr pricing on the TB . Kinda upset that they don't offer 1yr contracts anymore

Nexus One.
Been a good phone, but it's time for something new. I will miss the trackball though. :(

Right ? trackballs are great I had a hard time without one . The only good thing about the Eris was the trackball haha

honestly I wish they would have kept the trackball or stick on phones also why don't any new smartphones have a dedicated camera button? the only one I can think of is the Evo3d

I'm upgrading from a Fascinate. Despite all the bad press about the Fascinate it's actually a really good phone (once you get rid of Touchwiz). The hardware is great and I'm looking forward to another Samsung phone.

There are 6 other Eris users out there waiting to upgrade to this phone? I am not alone in this world?!

Well, color me flabbergasted!

(Oh, and hi Phandroid Forums from a guy who's been lurking a while)

Hi lurker - I mean Jomero! Welcome to the madness (openly anyway)

Upgrading from an iPhone 4! Had to switch to the dark side when the ThunderBolt sucked big time.

I'm upgrading from the original Droid. I've been holding on my upgrade eligibility for 3 months now, and it seems like I have finally found a worthy successor. :)

i'm upgrading from an international SGS2. why? because i want a Nexus phone and will be sticking with them when it comes to Android from now on.

Upgrading from a T-Mobile G1; first smart phone, though I've only had it almost 2 years now. I'm in Canada using WIND Mobile, same frequencies as T-Mobile.

Will have to ebay my Droid Charge and pay full retail if I decide to buy this. Any word on what the full retail is going to be for both the 16mb & 32 mb?

Not sure. I am hoping for a 640kb version though because Bill Gates said that's all the memory i'll ever need.
