checking in as an Eris user....can't wait for my end of November upgrade to come due. Talk about a giant leap forward (Eris to Prime!!!!! hopefully)

I'm upgrading from the Nexus S. my upgrade cycle will always be the new Nexus phone the day it is released

My city/region just got the 4G/LTE announcement from Verizon today.. should be up and running (coincidentally, I'm sure) around the time of the Prime release.

Coming off a recently acquired X2, which will remain in my possession as a training aid for my wife, as she finally gets rid of her dumb phone right around Christmas. ;)

This should sound about right for plenty of people I've talked to.

Day 1 purchased OG Droid in bad condition. Took these pictures fresh just now for you. Rooted and Running CM7.

I cannot wait for the Prime. Bought my girlfriend and I a pair of Fascinates last Christmas and I hated mine while she loved hers. Mine was buggy as well. Returned it and vent back to this beast. I also almost went for the Bionic. Lurked there and followed it religiously (not Nexus Prime stalking bad though. That's a whole new level.) Happy I didn't, I want a nice HD screen with my LTE please.

Broke the OGDroid about 3 months ago (Tossing it about 2 feet onto my bed onto a PILLOW nonetheless). Screen works fine 95% of the time, but man that last 5% can get frustrating.

BTW: iPod touch (4th gen) cameras suck without tons of light. First 2 were taken outdoors, third one showing my homescreen was indoors with as much light as I could possibly get at 4pm in Arizona with windows open, ceiling fan lights AND a lamp on.

Im jumping from a G2X. So far ive owned a MYT3G, Behold, Nexus One, MYT4G, G2X, and very soon..... a Nexus Prime. As you can see i jump from phones a bit, but to be honest no phone held me over like the nexus one. Every time something new would come out I'd scoff at it. Was very tempted by the Nexus S, but the lack of a sd card slot was a no go for me. I still take out the Nexus One and use it from time to time. Im with you Chrlswltrs from now on it'll be a strictly Nexus diet.

Sorry I didn't put any Nexus devices in the poll. The rumor(at the time I created this) was that it would be Verizon exclusive and since there have been no Nexus devices on Verizon so far, I figured not too many people would be switching carriers just to get a new phone(even an awesome phone like the Prime) so I assumed there wouldn't be many Nexus 1/S users switching.

^^I think that made sense^^
I will try to add Nexus 1 and Nexus S to the poll if it will let me edit it.

I always choose my carrier based on what phone I want. I switched to AT&T when the original iPhone came out, then stayed with AT&T for the iPhone 3GS. I switched to Verizon when the original Droid came out, then stayed there for the Droid X. I switched to T Mobile for the Nexus S. I was planning on switching to whatever carrier I needed to to get the next Nexus if it wasn't on T Mobile.

switching from iPhone 3GS

have never used android, been meaning to make the switch and after HOURS of research into a good android phone, learned about the upcoming Prime and ICS, now im just sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for it to be released.....thumbs are gettin kinda sore!

If I switch, it will be from the Thunderbolt. Money being the only issue, as I am not due an upgrade until July.

Another OG Droid upgrader here.

I'm still not 100% sure I'm upgrading to the Prime (more like 90%), because I want to see more of the Motorola Spyder/Razr/HD (whatever).

I almost pulled the trigger on the Bionic, but by the time it finally released, I figured I could wait it out a bit longer. The wait is getting unbearable though, as my phone has the dreaded "ghost key pressing" issue now. It's pretty much made the phone unusable outside of answering calls. Can't even check my Gmail on it, because it just starts hitting the delete key.

I'll be dumping my LG Thrill if gingerbread still isn't out by the time the nexus hits at&t. My last android phone (captivate) took forever just to get froyo. I'm tired of waiting for the latest update so most likely i'm upgrading my sons basic phone and getting the nexus and giving him my Thrill. That's a major upgrade from his iphone 3g that's he's using. He's only 10 anyway!

I am planning on upgrading from... no cell phone! Long story short, I had a cell phone (not smartphone) a few years ago when I started university, but I accidentally ran up a $300-something bill. So I decided, oops, maybe that's not such a good idea. And I've been patient in not getting a cell phone or smartphone since.

I haven't been interested in the smartphones until the 4.3"+ screen smartphones have started coming out.

I actually would have bought the iPhone 4S if it had come out in a 4" screen and been properly named the iPhone 5! But it came out in that dinky little screen, so it's no-go for me. I plan on reading lots on my phone.

It's pretty much come down to either the Nexus Prime or Samsung Note phone-tablet, for me. Yes, I do not care if I look ridiculous holding a mini-tablet to my face. :o

Droid Charge

Still running very well with all the mods I have done to it but the Prime (w/e name it's gonna be) has the specs of the SGS2 that I've been waiting for.

Figure I'll just pop the Charge up on craigslist or ebay and make some money back if not pay for the whole thing.

Droid X running Apex. I love the X. Wife has the Tbolt which is ok except the battery is useless with 4g. Bionic just doesnt seem right. So Nexus Prime it will be.

Well, I WAS going to hijack a family upgrade and get this device, but must first confirm if the microsd is really missing as a feature. I like my D3, but want some 4G luv now, since coming to my area in November. If no microsd, I will wait until spring, since the 28nm LTE chips should be out then (better battery life) and in a device.

I can use my D3 as a back-up and for trips out of country, so would still keep my D3.
