I've tried them all.....still not working...I'm sorry...I'll just keep trying to install the .zip file....it's gotta work.....Otherwise, i'll go and back up my apps and stuff and upgrade to ICS and try from there...

If you go to ICS just follow that guide and update to UVLI4. I really think you'll like it better. Then carefully follow the root guide again and it should work.

Nope...missed that one somewhere along the line...doing that one now...
Something weird just happened...I went to my file explorer on my phone, I went to the superuser.apk in the sd card, I installed it and ran Titanium Back up..it asked me for permission to run, like I think it's supposed to, then it froze in the "Asking for root rights..." again...I'm going to try this other mod you just posted above...brb....lol

Where did the superuser.apk come from? Are you extracting the superuser zips? I,m confused.
No, I didn't unzip it...I just navigated to them on the phone (booted up normal) to the folder they are in. and clicked on the .apk and installed it...but now I just used this other one you just gave me....wish me luck...lol

no worries!!!! It took 2 try's.....and it completed!!!! We did it!!!!!

YES.....so is super user now...I went in there and it show's TBU in there...Now, I'll just figure out TBU and play with the ROMs...I will create another back up and then start playing...but I'll do this tomorrow or over the weekend...THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP AND TIME WITH THIS MESS!! for some reason, all the other Mod's wouldn't work, but the last one did....

I would still recommend upgrading to UVLI4 when you get time. Some of these new jelly bean Roms need a newer recovery to work good.
