While I've not had the chance to delve into HTML 5, I can't see web apps being able to do enough in off-line mode to rival Android. Though I could be wrong.
EDIT: I just watched some Firefox OS videos on Youtube.. it reminds me too much of the iPhone UI. I think I'll pass unless some drastic UI changes are made.
Still, the selling point is supposed to be app developing flexibility via HTML5 and the fact that it'll be extremely streamlined without weird irregular version updates across different phone models. Also the cheapness of the phones themselves, I suppose. I dunno if they're unlocked though.
Doesn't Android also do all of those things as well?
Seems if there are lawsuits, it would be due to it possibly being identical to chrome OS or performing a similar function but not because of iOS or Android
