What do your X Screens look like?

Thanks for the recommendations for Widget Locker, downloaded tonight, very worth the $2, even if all it did was get rid of the lag when unlocking.

I like the looks of Launcher Pro, however, I still use the Motorola widgets, especially for contacts, and not sure if I want to lose that...

You don't lose that. In Launcher Pro Plus, you get the ability to resize your widgets and you're able to use all of the Motorola widgets as well. I was a firm believer in using the stock widgets, but then I started using Beautiful Widgets and decided they are immensely better for me.

If you check the launcher pro website, the developer there talks about large memory overhead for the beautiful widgets.

After reading that, I changed back to stock, and my phone does seem significantly faster.

I really can't decide between the X or the Incredible now. I was going to get the INC for the Sense UI, however now that I know I can get the Weather Widget and Launcher Pro, I might get the X

I think it really comes down to screen size since you can nearly duplicate the Sense UI on the X with LPP. My wife has the Incredible and the one thing I have noticed is that it is really responsive and snappy. IMO, it has a slight edge over the X in this area, but not much. She's a minimalist, though, and has done absolutely nothing to her phone except add Advanced Task Killer and a game. It's bone stock otherwise. I can't stop messing with mine and adding stuff to it....

I think I might go with the Incredible, not a fan of the "hump" the X has for the Camera, hell I don't even use a Camera all that much

How do I download/put images to my phone? I see where yall give links/thumbnails etc...How do I put them on my phone so i can use them?

You can do it directly on your phone if you are using it on this site, anything you download goes into the download folder on your SD card. You then use a file explorer to move your downloaded file or install an app. Files app is pre installed on your X, or you can get a after market app (astro, estrongs, root explorer, etc)

If you are on your computer download the file, connect your phone via usb, then choose mass storage mode on your phone and drag and drop files onto your phone.

Any images you put on your phone will be found in your gallery no matter where you put them on your SD card.

the hump is really a non issue once you have it. You won't even notice it and it actually helps when holding the phone to your ear and gives you something to grab when you try to get it out of your pocket.

Heres my current layout on my rooted DX (or was yesterday at least) nothing special or new, just got ideas from what i've seen from others and organized how i liked it

What countdown widget is that, and does it do hours and min also or just days?

Unless you are actively looking for the hump you would not even notice it, the phone is so thin. I have actually forgotten about the hump.

Out of curiosity, how do you access the folder organizer feature for LPP?

Looks like all you have to do is long press the screen then select Folders. You can put shortcuts on the screen then drag them into the folder. It is simple to use, but I can't figure out how to rename a new folder.

I still prefer FolderOrganizer since you can customize it further.

I found this to only be true when it came to using the animation from BW. Then again, it may be placebo for me. The guy who makes LP obviously knows more than I do.

Once you have a 4.3" screen, all other phones will seem so small, and you will want a DX sized phone from here on out. The hump is also correctly positioned at the top to make it easier to take out of your pocket, and to rest your fingers under to comfortably hold the phone. So get the DInc if you don't want to be spoiled by the awesome phone that is the Droid X.
