What DON'T you like about Gingerbread

My voice mail setting allows the password. It's set to *86,,9876#

Settings > Call Settings > Voicemail Settings > Voicemail number dialog > Enter number string...

I also added ,,1 to enter the new messages prompt and start the playback automatically.

Mine is *86,,9876,,1 (not my real password, of course)

Ever since the GB upgrade, when I turn off 3G mobile data and leave it off overnight and then turn it back on in the morning, nothing happens. Mobile data is stuck off, and I am unable to place calls. If I try to call someone, it ends the call immediately and says Call Time 0:00. I can still receive texts though. I have to reset the phone to make it work. This has happened many many MANY times already.
I feel like its almost enough reason to complain to verizon and demand a new phone...

My only complaint is the bluetooth doesn't work anymore. I have bluetooth built into my Nissan, and it has always worked with any phone I've tried to pair it with. Now my phone rings through my speakers, I can answer the phone with the button on the steering wheel, but then there is no audio. Really hoping Moto & Verizon push out an update soon to fix this or at least let us know one is coming.

After several days of using the new keyboard, there's something about it that messes me up and I'm just not getting used to it. I had the old keyboard down in like half a day, now it's just not any fun. Real pain in the butt.
There are a few new features here and there that I like, but they don't make up for the constant frustration with everything else.

Have you tried Settings > Location & security settings > Allow Bluetooth bypass > Checked?

My device on FroYo, it didn't play voice commands though the bluetooth speaker. Now, with that button checked, it works.

Is this just for voice commands though? My issue is the actual telephone conversation audio.

I have been running the first leak .573 about 2 months ago and have had no issues... I think I may have had 2 reboots, mostly my fault I was running way to much at one time and putting my phone through the paces. I use my phone heavily everyday, I stream Tune-in, Pandora while I am at work and play games when I can... I am very happy with this leak and when the OTA came out I passed, too many problems. Moto should have released when it was still good.

I have the same issue with my blue tooth and have tried going to settings

Here's a new one for me,

Every other reboot I get the Red M and then a lit black screen.
I let the phone drain today to "calibrate battery" since I did a factory reset.
Plugged phone in from wall to charge, watched M load then black lit screen appeared.
Pulled Battery, watched M load, then 0% battery loaded up.

At 100% full charge unplugged, press power, watched M load, again with the black lit screen. Looking over at it as I type, still black lit screen.

I noticed this after successfully installing 2part GB, so yes it was the same routine before i did the Factory Data Reset, which is why I did it.

Honestly every other reboot this happens and is only cured by a battery pull.

Any comments welcome.

No way!!! Are they high?

Here's the link. Chime in there, please.

Matt is a Motorola employee. Tough to convince. That's actually who I reported the GPS causing the system to not sleep bug that I found last year. That was eventually fixed, so he certainly does have the power to get things done.

There are a few people who say their digital cameras work that way, so it's a feature.

That's just insane. They screwed it up, it's a bug. Should have been easily caught in beta testing. Should be easy to fix if we do ever get a patch.

The keyboard absolutely sucks, especially when you want to insert a comma or exclamation point. Before you would hold on the period then click on what you wanted. Now you have to hold and "slide" to it, but it is terribly inaccurate. The only fix is to switch to the ?123 keyboard to get symbols.

The only thing I like is the animation when switching between portrait and landscape.

Personally, I can't stand animations - turning them off seems to make the portrait - landscape switch happen much faster.

I have to echo most everyone here. From the overly bright hard buttons, to the camera default, to the removal of adding birthdays to contacts, to the keyboard lag, to the bright spot over the number 2 in the dialer, I'm not finding much to like with this upgrade.

First I liked the new update. Then i saw the new keyboard. Cannot stress enough how much I dislike it. Used to be able to text fast and it was like having to learn all over again. What's worse is now I can't go one or two words without the keyboard going away. I have to reclick in the field to start typing again each time! I have already restarted my phone twice! Including a battery pull...WTF this is ridiculous!! How is this fixable??

I guess I'm one of the few that's a happy camper :o The only thing that has bugged me is the camera bug, but I only use the blur camera for panoramic anyways.. so it's not a big issue.

Has anyone had this issue: wake up the phone and all the data connections are off? At work, I am on 3G. When I want to use the phone and wake it up, the 3G symbol is not appearing and the bars are white (2-3). After several seconds, 3G comes back and all turns blue. At home while on WiFi, the same thing happens. I wake the phone, no WiFi or 3G symbol, and 1 white bar. Then it decides to get going and "Connection detected" pops in the notification bar. I have WiFi set to Never sleep, so it should never turn off. Why 3G turns off is beyond me. I have a custom battery mode set to never turn data off while in peak hours. WTF?!?!?

P.S. I get texts, but my widgets don't update during the "sleep" mode or whatever the hell is going on. Froyo, where have you gone.........................? :(

+1 same.

curious to hear what more experienced users have to say regarding this..

The wifi sleep policy set to never means it uses wifi even when the screen is off. Policy set to screen off means it uses wifi with the screen on and 3g when the screen is off. This policy does not control turning wifi on and off as much as it chooses which data connection to use.

Setting the phone to max battery saver turns off wifi and 3g 15 min after the screen goes off. When the screen comes on it has to turn mobile network or wifi on again. This overrides the wifi sleep policy sort of. They are different functions.
