What is your Favorite game?

My top three games are as follows:

The Original Elite is my fave game of all time and I can't wait for Elite: Dangerous to be released.

Second favourite is Dungeon Master and I still create levels for that to this day.

Third: Counterstrike. I took part in the Counterstrike Beta back in '99 and still play the latest incarnation of that too.

Going by hours.... hmm.

My favourites are Fallout 3, Dragon Age and of all time Neverwinter Nights and all the expansions.

Recently I really enjoyed Skyrim and currently liking Bioshock Infinite

Fallout 3.

I got this game long after it was released, for like $15.00. To me this game is a $100 game. (Not that I would actually pay that much, just how good I thought that game was).
This game gave me so many memories, and it was in a setting that just amazed me. I love... This day the Wastland Apocalyptic theme. I always loved it, and this was the first ever game that gave me just that. I thought the game was amazing with the detail that was put into the game. I found that there was just no wild life in the game, which really set the stage for the "Everything is dead".

I loved the Brotherhood of Steel. I was so happy to join them, and proud to wear the power armor, and be a brother. I love them because they are like the people that look for technology. I love technology, and really wonder what it will be like in the next 200 years in the Fallout age. (Assuming we don't have a nukelar war).
I love the hours played exploring the Wastland, defeating the creatures there, I loved the quest that we were provided, and even the main quest. I was glade that I got the "Game of the Year Edition" which will allow me to continue playing the game after "Project Purity". I loved doing the unthinkable like going into space, and going to a swamp. I loved the DLC for the game, because it game me a chance to experience a different part of the Apocalypse in a different setting.

The thing I liked most of all was that Bethesda really gave us a chance to grow up with our character. From the time were born, we like become a part of the character. We become a better character the more we play. Remember you were running away from that rat coming out of Vault 101, because he was killing you and you were out of ammo and had to use your fist, then coming back weeks later (Game time) and you are now wearing Power Armor with a Fat Man in your hand, you really came a long way.

It's the memories that this game has give me. I will be playing this game again. Now that I have a PC with Windows 8 on there, I will get this game off Steam and play it again. This time I will have the freedom that Xbox was not able to give me and that is mods. I can change the game and make the little things matter more.

My absolute favorite game was Command & Conquer.

But nowadays Flight Simulater X is re-emerging from the past. I play every day and practice real flights from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport to Alesund Vigra Airport Norway.
When FSX first came out , the pc hardware was not fast enough, but nowadays with quadcore processors, 2 gb videocards, 8 gb memory, the game finally runs smoothly.

I also did some 737-800 real motion flight sim , Thats a simulator in witch pilots train there skills.

But the best is not a game, not by far. Last week i booked a trainingsession on real acrobatic aircraft. Doing Corkscrews & Loopings and Hammerheads all by myself felt awesome. Even crossing the airport upside down felt nice.
When i saved another $200 i,m doing a followup lesson in acrobatic flying. The instructor said that when i want more speed&action they are using the Pitts acrobatic aircraft.

Nice!

I am incredibly into video games, that's where most of my spare time goes. I could write 50 pages on this easy but I'll keep it simple.

RPG
Ar tonelico series(Melody of Elemia, Melody of Metafalica, Qoqa).
Metafalica is the best one, my avatar is Saki from Ar tonelico: Qoga
Ken Nakagawa is my favorite video game music composer, and I LOVE the hymmnos songs(a created language for the series, not a lame cipher like Al bhed) EXEC_FLIP_ARPHAGE is my favorite song ever. My signature line is hymmnos and it reads "I'm very happy to hold dreams in my heart forever"

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and Persona 4
Awesome in every way. Great mystery in 4, challenging battle but not unfair. Great Music. Terrific character development in both. I screamed at my television during the ending sequences for 3. Both weave incredibly engaging, emotional stories. I love it when the story and characters are developed so well that you have real feelings for them. You laugh when they laugh, cry when they cry.

Final Fantasy VIII
My first RPG which was my favorite for a long time... I'm a sucker for love stories. It just blew my mind back then that a game could suck you in so much and weave such a beautiful story. First game that made me cry. I was so much like Squall back then. Completely introverted, afraid to let anyone close.

Platformer
Crash Bandicoot Warped
Sonic the Hedgehog 3

Racing
Burnout 3

FPS
Halo series

MMORPG
Final Fantasy XI online.
I played thousands upon thousands of hours and met some wonderful people who would become friends for life. My name Blyss is my characters name from FFXI. The full name is Blyss Sarania.

Rhythm/Music
Rock Band 3
I really love rhythm games. Get out my fake guitar, play some songs on expert(some on hard). If it's just the right difficultly I reach sort of a zen state where all I can focus on is the song. I love it.

Fighting
Soul Calibur IV
Another game that when you get good enough it feels so fluid, like your character is an extension of you.

Puzzle
Tetris or Angry Birds

Overall though the RPGs I listed far outshine the others for me. I play almost any kind of game except sports, but I just completely lose myself in RPGs. I used to play FFXI upwards of 16 hours a day and it wasn't uncommon for me to be online for 36 hours or more straight. I was kinda addicted.

Good game list I like them as well :) I'm just old school wii forever lol

Time for the old man lecture.

The best? Legend of Zelda. Before that you couldn't save games. No one had an overview. It was just awesome.

Well if we go that far back, might as well break out Choplifter, Loderunner and Aztec.

/Git off my 3bit purple lawn! ;)
