Super Mario World

Modern games lack the fun factor.
Grind to get level 10000000, spend hours to pass a single level, buy(w rl $) this weapon so you can win.
Ever since 3d came out, Games have been on a steady decline and are pretty close to garbage at the moment.

Sorry, I just dont buy that. And I have been playing games since before Mario Bros (...not super, nor world), and long after.

Lots of genres and games have a special place in my heart and memory (I'm looking at you, Phantasy Star). But modern games can tell stories in ways that were not even imaginable in the days of 8 bit platformers on the SNES.

My first game console was the Sega Master System. But I played DOS games and Apple IIc games long before that. (Those three images I posted above are Apple II games).

No side-scroller-platformer holds a candle to Bioshock Infinite or Half Life 2 (etc)

Even one of my favorite games of all time (Deus Ex), does not hold up well by today's standards.

BioShock Infinite: Rail Battle

Half-Life 2 EP2

Several favourites, for different reasons.

Doom: my first multiplayer gaming experience, first with a friend in separate rooms liked by a long serial cable, then across town via dial-up modem. The sound of a chainsaw still raises the hair on the back of my neck. :)

Fallout 3: I'll never forget that "holy.... wow!" moment stepping out of Vault 101 for the first time. It was very early morning and the atmospheric landscape just blew me away.

Mass Effect: for the story arc and sheer scale of the game. Little things like the ending and various minor plot holes didn't spoil something truly exceptional in terms of storytelling and involvement.

Falcon 4: Not so much a game, more a way of life for over two years and still a benchmark for combat flight sims today. Multiplayer missions with over a dozen human pilots from across the globe were the norm. Timezones cease to matter with enough adrenaline and beer. :)

PS: God of War  Best games evah!
PC MMO: Eternal Lands
Android: Rage of Bahamut
Browser: Legend of the Green Dragon
MUD: Aardwulf
Cards: Spades
Dice: Ten Thousand

I liked Crysis and one of my favorites would have to be:

Rock Band 3

Grand Theft Auto

Oblivion

Skyrim

Team Fortress 2

Half-Life

Mass Effect

Dragon Age

Fallout

Also, merged thread into this one as there's already a favorite game thread. :)

modding phones is my video game lol.naw umm idk i had to pawn my ps3 to get a temp laptop until i get my tax refund but uhh.im a fan of portal 2 even though ive beaten it ahundred times its still fun,and sometimes i goof off seeing where i can go i havent gone to before in that game using the portals

There are multiple games I'd count as my favourites, but what springs to mind right now are Homeworld 1 + 2, with their impending HD re-releases next month. They're decent RTS games, but with the second game in particular, the beautiful art design and the haunting music make it incredibly atmospheric.

Well worth looking into if you're the kind of person who is inordinately excited by the phrase 'hyperspace jump'.

:p

I am a long time and big fan of strategy games. Specially trun based, as RTS is normally not strategy but tactics dependent only.

Because turn based games allow you to think a proper strategy, gives you time to devise a plan and put it in motion, I have being struggling to find a good mobile strategy game.

Buy only until I found Age od Strategy. It is a medieval strategy turn based game, with very enjoyable graphics, smooth gameplay and REALLY impressive in what you can imagine and put in action!

The buildings and units are ver realistic to the commitment of strategy and the FACT that is really free - no, it is not FREEMIUM! You won't face endless adds and annoying requests for buy buy buy.

But what really makes it real fun is the multiplayer... oh man, this gets really intriguing as you see your strategies being developed and countered by the perception of the other players!
Due Its turn based position, you have TIME to think, enjoy and have fun.

If you are looking for a game to put your mind but not get stressed by constantly overrated shootings, just download it, get a group of good players and enjoy.

My user there is taliesin. Hope to see some of you around.

My current love, is and shall forever be Rusty Lake, you can check it out on rustylake.com the story line it is a cop,
who goes after a murder who somehow founds himself in a worldwind of puzzles, whom finds out throughout different sections on who is the real murder is, not going to give away anything even on the wiki does help you out so much in the game itself.

I stopped playing around a few months, think maybe in August...

PS: Always have a deep passion for fighting games, such as Under Night in birth, Tekken, Blazblue.
Nintendo area: Molded me some zelda and puzzle games.
Sega: Got to have the mascot of it, Sonic.

Funny I have bioshock stored on my ps3..

not sure why that is funny.....LOL

but i love bioshock and even bioshock 2. i have not played infinite though. i have heard of a bioshock 4 but i have learned not to put too much stock on ea since it owns 2k games. ea is the devil in my opinion....they ruin everything.
I meant like that is funny how you posted up there, I begun playing Bioshock saga, I believe it maybe did something odd with my ps3.. Still not my type of game so used to though, but did a few of those type of like FPS back on the Sixty four days too.
