Root What is your favorite GB ROM?

Ok, I will have to admit, I am still on GB .595 and have been happy with it and just have not spent the time to upgrade to .596. But thinking of doing so this weekend and thought I might even live on the wild side and throw in a new rom :eek:

So, just curious, what is the rom of choice for GB for you right now and why? And most important question for me, how is battery life on that rom?

Broodcomb is pretty good, the launcher is the only issue I have had with it. Seems it really wants you to use the zeam's launcher instead of launcher pro. I had to remove zeam's to make LP become default, other than that, it's pretty solid, battery life is good and no FCs so far

I'm on stock gb 596 rooted. Smooth. Very smooth. Everything works. Can't complain. Tried CM7. I had to go back to stock to get my full features back. I'll be back to try it again when things get a bit better.
 
I used to be an Apex man... but now I'm over to Liberty GB 0.8 and loving it, its super fast and kept the good parts of blur (apex used to do that and now it more AOSP). I keep it overclocked and undervolted and can go about 20 hrs of heavy usage (3.5 + hrs of screen on) before I kill the battery.

P.S. Loved CM7 and will go back when they get all the bugs out... I need more battery than 11 hrs max. My work day lasts longer than that and I didn't buy a Moto product to have to charge it like an HTC phone.
 
No one's mentioned Darkslide. Dear god it's fast. Stock was good, but darkslide is just THAT much faster. I'm really happy with it's stability, no problems so far.

Had to replace the notification pull-down background but that's the only thing I thought was an issue.
 
I would say it's a toss up between ApeX and SSX 2.0, I like it a little more than CM7 because it's a little bit faster/snappier and it has the ChevyNo1 Toolbox :D

I don't think stock GB should be considered a ROM, it should just be "stock GB"; though I do like stock, it's just too laggy compared to most everything that's available to us.
 
Apex and Liberty GB AOSP
ssx was incredibly snappy, but i had the mms error and was not digging that at all.
cm7 was great but too many bugs to be happy
Liberty .8 is ok, im also waiting on the Justice Rom that is coming out that is using the 2 init builds from what im told :)
 
I'm still expecting more ROMS to come out, so we'll see what I like.....I'm still waiting for my all time favorite......Fission :D

i really have only found 2 roms that i enjoy more than anything and thats apex and liberty, i love apex because it came from our forum member :)

Oh, DarkSlide! I loved that rom in Froyo. Didn't realize there was one now for GB...shows I'm behind the times. I'm like Steven, I have just be happy with stock GB so far.

How is the battery life on Liberty GB (just regular...not under or overclocked)? I know I had some battery life issues with some of the Froyo releases and thus the reason I stopped using Liberty on Froyo.
 
liberty aosp battery life is stellar, of course its built by jrummy and fab so of course its going to have stellar battery life

darkslide gb doesnt look or feel the same on gb as it did on froyo unfortunately :(

I was just looking through the rom list and I don't even see a DarkSlide for GB. I see the one for .340 Froyo, but nothing for GB.

So, sounds like Liberty is the one to try then. Get me backups made and going to throw Liberty on there.
 
Give Liberty a shot its an awesome ROM. That is my favorite so far.

However when Fission drops, they will probably win out. ;)
 
Now that I've heard about Fission coming to GB I am anxiously awaiting that. I've been back and forth between Apex and CM4DX so many times.

I'm currently on CM4DX but I'll be switching back to Apex either tonight or tomorrow as I'll be on vacation next week and want the better battery life Apex offers.
 
I haven't used Liberty since that little debacle back on Froyo a while ago......I don't take kindly to those type of things, plus kejar31 is no longer associated with it; in my opinion he was the true magic maker for that Rom.

Agree but its much better now. I'm running it again and its been fine. Don't rule it out. ;)
