, though not customizablethe performance impact on my desire is almost unnoticeable and though you are right about the battery drainage, since i have to charge it roughly every night so it'll last through the day ahead, it doesn't make a difference if i've 5% left or 25%.The only problem with major wallpaper change live wallpaper like the city one, and the storm one you guys are craving is that it'll suck your battery dry in no time.
IMHO the best way to impliment live wallpaper is with subtle changes, like a clock, calender, and small animation stuff. The rest IMHO are just graphic demos to impress people, but they serious hamper your phone's performance.
I just tried the and wobble live wallpapers, and that slows my phones response down to a serious crawl!

Post your favorite live wallpapers here!! Some of the Galaxy S live wallpapers look pretty cool but apparently you have to root your phone to add them? Damn.
Can't forget about Mario Live Wallpaper. My favorite by far!
