What the heck is the deal with iphone users Vs Android users

I find its GUI absolutely [deleted] ugly.
Then there are the Appletards operating on sheer smug boasting about how their Macs "just work" .

lol this is so true! My HP zd8000 laptop with a Pentium 4 and 2gb of RAM is faster than my parents 1 year old iMac. They also found that they didn't like the OS, so installed parallel XP on it.

For as long as I live, I will never buy another apple product, unless they make something of value, as most are not. *cough*ipad*cough*

I'm not big on Apple products but I love my 120GB ipod classic. I just wish it had a glass screen instead of plastic...

I love the IDEA of the iPod, but I hate hate hate hate iTunes. Slow, buggy and bloated. And if you want to use an iPod, you HAVE to sync it with iTunes. If iPods had drag and drop, i'd use one.

Not true, I use Winamp to sync to my ipod. I know you can do it with Foobar along with a few others as well.

Ahh ok, that's interesting. I thought you could only sync with iTunes.

I don't like syncing period- it just seems silly to me to add an extra step to getting music onto my device, but not having to use iTunes is a nice bonus.

I like the Android platform because of the freedom, especially with the HTC Sense UI. A couple examples:
I'm not stuck with an icon grid as a home screen and if I want the grid on the Android, just pull up the menu haha. In place of an icon grid, the new Sense UI will let me put everything I need on my home screens: weather, favorite contact icons for quick dial/messaging, text messages, news of all sorts, social media integration and much more! And I don't have to sync using iTunes (and I did read that you can sync the iPhone with other programs). And the HTC Desire can handle this in a smooth manner to give you an awesome user experience.
I respect all of Apple's products and realize their products outperform a large majority of related products on the market, but their products simply aren't for me. I do have an iPod Touch, and I regret spending that money because I only use it as an mp3 player and nothing more.

Well, great. Except i don't use Linux and certainly am not going to run my machines on linux JUST so i can use an iPod, when EVERY other mp3 player/phone i can drag and drop my files onto.

You don't have to install linux, or run your machine off of linux. You can simply make a bootable flashdrive, and boot to linux... but hey, that's just one way to do it.

Honest question, would love a serious response from someone.

Well, the only thing I would root my Droid for is the things the OTA I am scheduled to get would provide. I have no desire to root my phone. It is fast enough, customizeable enough (which would be completely) and has the functionality I want. I would only do anything like rooting to be able to say I did and possibly verify all of these reports of incredible overclocking.

I can make my user experience like almost anything I want with my phone without rooting. Thanks to the latest Launcher Pro, I can even get rid of that annoying notification bar without rooting.

So, I have everything I want and can get support from Verizon and Motorola. Why would I consider buying anything less?

With so much hatred for Apple and it's users, I shudder to think what your opinions are on race and religion. Get a grip, people.

The same as Apple users. Don't shove your religion down my throat or pull the race card constantly and we'll get along. Don't shove your OS/fruit logos down my throat and we'll be just fine. What works for you is fine as long as I don't have to have anything to do with it.

What an ignorant hate-bating post.

Ignorant? Ironic.

Toughen up if it bothers you so much. How weak-minded do you have to be to let a freaking product bother you this much?

No one cares about the products but if admitting that its evangelists are annoying equates me to a racist religious fundamentalist, I don't need a thicker skin, you need a clearer head.

I'm intolerant and hate-baiting because I don't agree with irrational hatred toward a consumer product...I'm not sure what kind of logic is at work here, but ok.

I guess I shouldn't have interfered and I'm sorry for not hating people because of what product they use. I'll move on.

No, it has already explained why are are and it is not because of the backpedaled explanation you are trying to hide behind now. It is good that you don't hate people for what products they use, now try not painting people who won't jump on the iBandwagon as bigots and you will be one more step toward being more reasonable than most.

Its not the product...

its the morons i have to deal with on a daily basis who tell me how great they are, refuse to listen to my thoughts on them.

I don't mind talking about things that annoy me with android.. (will find a lot more when/if I get the nexus one I'm sure).. However, unfortunately in a conversation with a huge apple fan.. they will just tell me "You should have gotten an iphone".. and play off that the iphone is perfect..

I'm already being driven insane by morons calling ipad "laptop replacement".. yeah right.. You still need a laptop to get the full intended use out of the ipad..

my main gripe is how apple has somehow convinced the average joe/jane in to thinking that their products are the absolute apex of current technology

a few months ago my sister (34) asked me when i'd got myself an iphone
"it's not an iphone, it's a samsung android phone", i responded
and what i got in response is "kind of a wannabe trying to plagiarise the iphone"

now that sort of stuff really irritates me
i get that some people really couldn't give a rat's ass about smartphones or any other technology for that matter, but for whatever reason - even tho' they are the first to say they don't know anything about the subject, nor do they care to - they're really confident in their opinion that the iphone is the best that money can buy and anything else is a wannabe rip-off

and while i realize that different things are more important to different people and the iphone is a genuinely brilliant phone and the best possible choice for certain people, that's not what most people argue - what you see is people claiming technical superiority over any competition, and that is objectively simply not true
