What would you buy?

I'd likely set aside enough for 5 kids college educations, and enough that I could retire comfortably at an earlier age (I would likely still work). Maybe a new house and a car and some nicer things. I'd probably have a lot left and I'd spend it on local community affairs, especially those focusing on the arts.

Id buy a new house for me, one for my parents and one for my grandparents. Buy myself a exotic car, and new cars for those close to me. furnish everything for everyone, set aside say 20million for college etc... donate the rest to charities local schools etc. Id also take like 100k and just go around handing out money to random people so I could help make their days better.

Basically: A nice condo by the water, a new car, some new gadgets, help some family, donate to charity, and put the remaining large sum away and save it.

How does the lottery work anyway? Does the money only go up as people buy tickets?

A used truck (my car leaves me in question getting to work or even the grocery store as of now), a new Radeon 5870 card for my computer along with an 850W PSU, then I'd stash the rest somewhere and use it as I need it. I can't think of anything else I'd possibly want... maybe give my mom and grand father in Kansas $100k to finish the house they're re-building... other than that I can't think of anything. Hell, I'm leaving for 2 years in... about 2 months, lol.

Mansion in Toronto and one of these.

Wow, only a true nerd would say this...

Millionaire buys a new video card to play games all day!

I would buy my parents and myself houses (they have one, but is very small and old). Nothing fancy, but big enough to be comfortable. I would then furnish those houses with all the latest tech stuff. Then buy new cars for my immediate family (including myself). Again, nice cars (say under 60k US...Nothing as fancy as a Rolls or Ferrari.) Then help out any family members out that need it (close family members only, not some guy who doesn't know me but is related by a molecule of blood). Lastly, put the rest into an interest yielding account and live off of the interest (Ok, I might play a very small portion in the stock market for fun, but not enough that I would notice it if I lost it all).

I would also donate more to charity, but only on a case by case basis. In other words, I wouldn't immediately give 20 million to x charity. I would likely see a cause I agreed with, (like the recent cancer campaign that was held in Los Angeles) and donate 10 or 20k...Then do it again when I saw another cause I deemed worth wile.

Yup, prize fund goes up with ticket sales, and if it's not won, then the top prize rolls over to the next week; that prize would've been the result of about 5-6weeks un-won rollovers. Next week it's a piffling

With that kind of scratch I think I'd buy an island in the South Pacific... build my better half a nice house there with of our favorite things... and just get as far as possible from the rat race. Oh and a 70+ foot yacht to periodically commute north to Hawaii or south to OZ would be nice too!

I'd give Mr. Hess the money to get 4G in Shreveport, then I'd buy me a new whip (I really like Chevy Tahoes for some reason), a NICE house... nothing too big because people like to steal... and put about 5 million of it in my savings account and let it gain interest... Then i'd go to school and earn my masters in something (dont know what yet) and work towards owning my own business. Id also pay all my debts off and pay all my bills up for about the next 2 or 3 years, I'd also travel to every Six Flags Theme Park in the US. Recording the whole journey with my Epic 4G!!!! :D

I'm A sucker for porsche.. I 100k but, its a nice car. I would buy that, Start a verizon contract, get the fascinate.

I would buy a moderate sized house somewhere in hammond. (location of my school).

I would buy a 900 watt psu and a 5870.

In two weeks when the 6970 comes out, I would pass my 5870 to my brother, give him the PSU and buy a single 6970. ( I already have a 750w psu, and he already has a single 5870.. so I would give him the ability to xfire.)

to be honest.. thats about as generous as I'm going to get.. If my brother wants to come live with me.. or I get a girlfriend, I would let my brothers live with me. The rest of the money would go towards college/house/car and believe it or not.. the rest of the money would really be invested as wisely as I could invest it. I would really just do what I could to make the money grow and not live in a wasteful manner.

I list all the things that I *want* to have out of life. So, really.. if I can get all that.. and find some job I'm happy with making 70-80k a year.. well.. I'd live a pretty happy life.

Working for the sake of staying sharp mentally, having the car of my dreams. having a sustainable (low cost living) and being able to upgrade my comp once every 3 years.

I would be a very, very happy camper...

*edit*

I do realize that is techncially a GT2 b ut, I couldn't find any GTS pics and GT2 comes up when you look for GTS)

An Audi R8 5.2, a McLaren MP4-12C, a Ford Raptor SVT for groceries and hauling, a BMW 750i for the family car, a Bentley Continental GTC Speed for days when you want a convertible and a Lotus Exige for some track action.

A vacation home on Torch Lake in Michigan, main home in San Diego and a winter home in the Swiss Alps.

Invest the rest of the money and do volunteer work.

I could be happy with that. :D

I would donate 99% to charity...

of the 1% of the money that I have left over. :P
