What's a worthy replacement?

To be able to sell more devices due to battery death I suspect.

Rooting does not restrict income. In fact I would expect it to boost it. Replacement parts restricts income though....batteries?

I'm so in two minds about the 1X. I can upgrade pretty much add soon as its launched, and I adore the specs, but like you, the battery issue had me worried. If I'm in the car, my desires on charge. Most of the time in the house, its on charge. So the life span of a full charge isn't really a worry. The inability to pull it is however. I was concerned about the lack of an SD card slot, but i have a 32 gig now and its nowhere near full.

I just wish Samsung would release the specs of the Galaxy S3. That would make my decision ALOT easier.

I am liking the camera on the Experia S though.

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHH.......

Hmm, but it must put off many potential buyers though. Like you said, once the battery goes, your kinda stuffed.. I'd be hesitant in buying another as I'd know it was a problem.
I'm still waiting patiently for the official SGS3 spec and weighing up all my options

My wife has just upgraded today to the xperia s. £21.50 a month for 200 mins ( which she hardly uses) 250 o2 to o2 unlimited texts and 500mb data. Looks absolutely stunning. Fixed 32gb memory and fixed battery. Will report back when I have had a play. :-)

Looking through upcoming devices on phandroid, this looks physically beautiful:

Acer Iconia Smart

But disappointing specs :(

nuh uh. Toshiba Satellite pro are easily the worst laptops on the planet. I'd have an acer over that any day.

Sorry to verge away from the double entendre, but when are people due an upgrade? I feel I'm quite late on (October my contract ends, September I can upgrade my phone if I renew it).
I suppose I can look at it 2 ways. The array of phones due out soon will be more affordable with better deals however I don't get my hands on new toys until after everyone else.

I can upgrade any time as I'm on payg since Oct. However I'm still to see a phone that I like. All I want is a good processor, reasonable internal storage and sd support. Not too much to ask for surely? That Galaxy S3 better be good as it's looking like the only possible one at the moment!

June.

Right now waiting to see what the S3 might offer. SD, removable battery are dealbreakers for me atm.
