What's a worthy replacement?

I did think it must of been a dodgy phone or something, but first impressions and that.

I want ICS!
But it's not like it's a big deal when you really think about it.

I thought about waiting, till i tried the one x.
Made up my mind pretty quick after that as i am sold on the sense overlay, have tried a few others but sense knocks the other overlays into a cocked hat.
Also helped with phones 4u paying my early upgrade fee & giving me freebies as well.
There are games on the market that only play on nvidia chips they are visually stunning too, these only play on the tegra3 chip phones & some of the older phones with tegra2 chips.

Not that easy when you're add impatient as me.

I know the Ascend and three S3 are going to be better than the 1X, but I can upgrade to the 1 X NOW......

AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH........

Oh I know. Im mega inpatient too, but ill have to live with my decision for two years so imma be careful

As I said, its just my personal opinion lol

My brother got the One X, and it is blisteringly fast. Also, the new software update apparently vastly improved battery life.

I like the forced Hardware Acceleration present there. I also like a lot of other things that come with ICS and especially the ones that come with sense.

Oh? Did they move that /system file to the correct location finally?

I don't think they have according to a post on xda but the battery life has improved vastly i am getting 39 hours a throw out of my phone, that's making it drain quickly to make sure i get it on charge over night.
I like to make sure i don't run out of power during the third day.

I bought a desire oem battery about 18 months ago. I heard they were better quality than the packaged one. I ran it twice and it seemed worse. I've since learned about calibration so I should dig it out. This battery feels a bit old

I've been casually looking for an original battery recently - too many stories of 3rd-party ones not having the claimed capacity.

Unfortunately the places that have them in stock (and who I believe might actually be selling what they claim) seem to be a lot more expensive than those that don't. Not critical yet, but it's at the point where I'd be happy to pay a little to regain some capacity.

Well I have caved in and finally ugraded my beloved desire for a shiney new one x that arrives on wednesday.

I originally spoke to t-mobile and they quoted me

Anoniemouse, I was interested to see that Phones4U bought you out of your contract. Do you mind me asking how much it was? I am looking at their deals on the Galaxy Note but have 3 months (

Yeas, will do this or phone them. I was just interested to see that anoniemouse had already done this.

I'm getting itchy feet now, still got a few months left but really WANT the ascend!
Still the Desire does everything I throw at though, so there really is no rush lol!

Thanks, anoniemouse. Tried P4U today but they weren't up for paying my contract off. To be fair, the contract I was after was for

Galaxy s3 letdown?

http://phandroid.com/2012/04/25/sam...ynos-4-quad-for-their-next-generation-galaxy/

So exynos quad core, 32nm based on cortex a9, not far off the current tegra3 specs.

So how come the Qualcomm s4 can best the tegra 3 in some benchmarks, even though its only dual core?... well because the a9 architecture is ollllld!

So with ARM announcing the cortex a15 architecture with quad core and with how comparable it is to the s4, I can't help thinking they're sticking a dinosaur in this thing. These ARM 15 CPUs will almost double the performance of a 9....

I think I'm out.

Sure, the a15 will best what's in the ascend d quad too, but at least its not ARM based so I'm not knowingly buying known outdated tech.

Guh, not the end of the world but I expected better from the Samsung team on its next "flagship phone". It probably won't affect me too much, I just want the best :)
