any update on a new version? and what could they make better? its been awhile since any updates on here...just curious!

it may be a while but so far no new news, we know that fab will continue to edit his toolbox for apex, but may or may not update the rom, liberty we dont yet know, mainly because no one will stick with phones forever, but we can always hope devs will continue to produce stuff for us, im sure if we get the bootloader unlocked, you will see tons of roms!

That's a big "if". I hope it will though, that would be really nice :D

It sure is looking that way.......which kind of sucks for me because I wasn't planning on upgrading for a while :(

Oh well, what can you do

Welp, I get one more annual phone upgrade at the two year price, then I have to hold onto a phone for 20 months. My next phone's going to have the unlocked bootloader in order to keep me interested. I need to try new stuff a lot, to keep the phone mojo alive. That's why I got so excited about the "hoax of 2011."

I wonder if I qualify for that deal you are talking about.....didn't VZW cancel that deal not too long ago???

im thinking about sprint and the htc evo 3D
vzw is becoming a little too expensive with all the crap you gotta put up with, but i dont want to make the leap to sprint until we have confirmation of LTE and LTE upgraded phones for sprint. cause there will be no point in getting the Evo 3D for wimax when they end it for LTE

The first and only thing that comes to mind is make battery life about 1,000 times better than it is now. That was about the only complaint I had with Liberty...battery hog.

jrummy16 earlier today posted on Twitter that he is shooting for a Friday release date for a Liberty update. Which is really good news.

i wonder what the new liberty will bring to the table, it seems for me after about 3-4 installs of it, thats when it runs flawlessly on my phone :p seriously this was the 3rd or 4th time i have installed liberty, and so far no hard freezes ^_^ so i look to be installiing the new liberty at least 3 times haha

I almost went back to GummyJAR because of two major issues with liberty. One was battery life, since it was probably 20-25% worse on battery for a given day. Second was waking the phone up and having the backlight fail to turn on - so I'd just have a dark screen, requiring a battery pull.

The former was fixed by the battery patch they posted, so I'm hanging onto Liberty for the time being hoping they will fix the screen issue in the next release.

i had the back lighting issue for a little bit and then i cleared out some apps and had another go launcher update and i havent had that problem in a while. still having pretty crummy battery life though since i havent applied the battery patch. i think a liberty update will address the battery issue and just make things run a little smoother with some cool add ons as well

Hopefully availability to have the lock screen and a pattern/pass/code unlock. My phone is on my desk a lot and I don't trust people so I like being able to lock it. I also listen to music at my desk and would like the lockscreen music controls but you can't have both with Liberty and that keeps me going back to apex over and over.

I don't know if Liberty will be tomorrow or not. We shall see how fast I can code and how much sleep I get.

yeah I dont think it will be today... which is fine by me. IMO its better that he takes his time to do the work to make sure everything right
