What's the weather like where you are?

It's still sixty degrees here. Wonderful weather for a change.
I love seeing 60 degrees appreciated. As I've said a million times, 60° here sends my fellow natives scurrying for coats and gloves, and bitching and moaning about how cold it is.

I just laugh...or remind them I've experienced real cold weather--and this ain't it!

I am, eventually. Although June isn't probably the best time to be 'west'. ;)
That's right, I forgot--you're visiting your brother(?).

June won't be sizzling hot yet; the 100+ temperatures typically run from July through early October, with occasional appearances in, you know, January! :o

We'll be having our "June Gloom" weather, which is hot but overcast (something to do with onshore ocean breezes, I believe).

Of course, tourists will be out in force. They are year-round, but definitely worse in summer.

No picnic here on the east coast, either. :(

That reminds me of when I was stationed in Homestead Florida. I arrived in a short sleeved Hawaiian styled shirt ( It was late 1970's) it was 70° and everybody patrolling on base had heavy jackets on. I couldn't understand it until a year later when I got acclimated.

32° and comfortable here in Boston.

I've been back home in SoCal for 13 years, and still haven't turned back into a weather native. I don't consider 65° freezing. When I go to the Rose Parade, I'm not bundled from head to toe in a parka, earmuffs, gloves, hat, scarf, etc. I don't turn the heater on all 'winter.' I roll my eyes at my fellow natives, the weather wimps. :o

By the way, my father-in-law lived in Homestead for a few years before he died. He told me about its rebuilding after it was literally wiped off the face of the Earth by that hurricane. People's resilience is amazing!
