I am basically right around the corner from Lubbock Texas, birthday place of the legendary Buddy Holly. About a year ago I was in Clear lake Iowa were he, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper perished
It started raining here last Sunday. It never rained hard but it was consistent. It finally let up Thursday which left me many wet lawns to mow. It rained again Thursday evening and into the early morning hours. It was plenty wet today but at least the sun was shining and I could work. Rain is once again in the forecast for early tomorrow though mid day.
It's that time of year I'm afraid.
It rained a little yesterday afternoon and then cleared out. The day was perfect with no wind. Today is absolutely ideal.
73°F right now with a beautiful sky of blue. I think I'll grill out some burgers.
It's been over a week since it has rained here. Temps went from the mid seventies to the upper nineties in the past week as well. The humidity is still up there... 50% as I type. It seems spring is over and I'm into summer already.
We had some pretty severe storms last week. It really challenged my backup power supplies (all which kept emailing me alerts every time they kicked in ). The weekend was GLORIOUS. Mid 70's, low humidity and light breezes. It was if God was apologizing for COVID ... but there wasn't a rainbow and that's more his style.
