A hospital had to evacuate because of the rain last night around my way. It's still closed. The basement got literally hosed and needs time to dry out the electrical systems before it can reopen. So...
Kind of wet in Boston MA.

We've been very lucky so far this summer; there have been very few 100+ days.

On the weather, when they show our record highs for the date, I'm reminded of the awful heat wave I came home to in 2006! Endless days in the 100s...

Nothing like that now. Just warm, sunny, blue skies, no rain [as usual], really quite comfortable [with the AC running].

What sort of humidity do you have with that temp?

It's been hot here. Temps have been in the mid nineties which is not bad but the humidity has been in the high forties or low fifties. That makes it miserable then compound that with the fact that the Kansas wind has disappeared. I sweat so bad when I'm mowing that I can't see where I'm going. 88° and 51% humidity as I type.... eight PM.

You don't want to know. :o

Trust me, my friend, I know miserable. Gone, but definitely not forgotten, are my days of living in sweltering heat and humidity, first in Florida, but much longer in Texas. I honestly didn't know, prior to living in the latter, that humidity could be at 100%, yet it wasn't raining. Summers in Dallas consisted of 100+ degrees and 90+ percent humidity. Miserable...just miserable.

When we bought our house there, it had a 3-ton central AC unit; when it died [in the middle of summer, naturally], we replaced it with a 5-ton unit. Even so, with it cranking away 24/7, I'd step out of the shower, dry off...and immediately be sweating. [In all fairness, though, I run hot--much to the dismay of relatives who do not. My poor cousin has to wear a jacket when she visits.]

Anyway, I'm sorry you're dealing with such oppressive heat and humidity. On the bright side, it'll be gone before you know it!

Here, the only time the humidity grabs my attention is when it's "fire weather" low--as in single digits, combined with high temperatures. The rest of the time I just laugh at my fellow natives as they're complaining about how HUMID it is...
