What's the weather like where you are?

The leaves are just starting to turn for us. They should be in full fall color by the third week of October. Halloween has always been hoards of costumed kids trudging through piles of leaves raked to the curb. Or first snow generally falls in November, but the big ones rarely come before the holidays.

My yard is already peppered with leaves. Not from being cold however. It's been so dry this summer that some of the leaves have given it up. Typically they dump their leaves just before Halloween. It rarely snows here until after the holidays. Big snow is pretty much just a memory around here. The last big snow fell in January of 71. We used to get a show stopping snow every year or so when I was growing up. I have no clue where all those big snows went.

It warmed up into the low seventies today but the day started out in the low forties. Basically speaking, it's a beautiful early fall day here.

Welcome to Android Forums, Xyloidship! :)

Currently raining here at my area, I hope it will stop soon since I still have to go outside later.
If you're really tired of it, feel free to send some my way! :D Here in bone-dry, sizzling Southern California, we worship rain! :o

Good morning from wherever I am

It was beautiful this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday were just ideal. Overnight lows were in the upper forties and highs were in the low seventies. There was no wind and the sky was a beautiful blue without any clouds. I was lucky enough to be outside most of the weekend and enjoyed every minute of it.

The first snow has fallen and more in the forecast. I'm guessing three to four inches over night and this morning. It was not a show stopper but enough to make the morning commute an adventure. I can't remember having many snows this early in the season. I hope it's not an indication of the winter to come.

I awoke to a wintery mix this morning. Lots of sleet mixed with some rain. The rain and sleet quickly froze on the roads and autos making it difficult to see to drive on the slick roads. It has warmed up to freezing so everything melted off of the roads making the return from work commute ideal. I'm certain it will freeze again over night but rain is in the forecast for tomorrow.
With warmer temps it shouldn't be a big deal. We need the moisture so I'm not complaining.
