its freaking cold in Benld. 15 F ! Kids been outa school..got some cabin fever going on. Think they finally get to go back tomarrow.
:D

Heat wave. It's all the way up to 8 F. After the -30 to -40 windchills lately, I'm just a step away from pulling out the short sleeve t-shirts. :D

I see that Alaska is mild compared to what Canada & the rest of North America are getting.

I think it's to do with the poles 'jigging around' a bit. Last winter we had the same with the Arctic air spreading down from Siberia, across Eurasia & meeting our wet Atlantic weather causing prolonged heavy snow 'til Easter. This year it is mild (as in, it's also mild in Russia so no easterly Arctic weather from there...yet).

Getting colder and more snow... waiting to get to xc-ski :P
-11C = 12F

It's extremely nice here for this time of year. Mid fifties - low sixties f. All the snow has melted... it's down right pleasant to be outside for a change.

Snowed in Denver, 50 miles South, just got wind. Mostly clear skies, but snow was condensing out of the air. Fairy dust, you could barely see it.

Here's some pics from a storm chaser:

If you live where you can see a long distance away, these storms are huge. And some are beautiful.
Worked up high enough in the foothills to see the storm that damaged Limon, CO. in the 80s.
That cloud was high enough to catch light after sunset, and the colors were fantastic. Too bad about what it was producing on the ground.
