It is currently 9° and the low today was 3°. Though they pretreated the main roads before the sorry weather moved through, they were still iced late this morning when I was out. The schools have announced that they will be closed again tomorrow due to the bitter cold and slick roads.
Honestly, my wife and I attended school in such weather conditions when we were kids. And to make matters worse, the girls were required to wear dresses. Times have changed... perhaps for the better.

I remember getting to school one day when it was snowing (not too bad) and being told to go home because a blizzard was expected to come through. A few hours later complete white out conditions, blowing snow i think by the time the snow stopped falling we had gotten two or three feet. We ended up being out of school for the rest of the week.

For some reason this morning feels really cold, like the kind that gives you a headache. I even put on the thermals or long John's

80% chance of snow Friday, we really wish Olbriar would keep this crap out where he is and stop pushing it off on us. Time to charge up the new snow thrower and put it to the test...
About the time that I seriously consider investing in a snow thrower I enjoy three or four winters of just light dusting and I'm glad I haven't stored one. Then a winter with repeated snow thrower needs makes me mad that I don't have one.
