What's your favorite MLB team?

Yea, heard some talk about that... 'if you add his hits in japan with what he's done here' BLAH!!

Can't mess with charlie hustle:)

Yeah. Even if you combined his hits in Japan and in the US it still doesn't = 4256 or even come that close. I don't even think it breaks 4K. Prob in the 3.8K area.

It's a shame he's been banned. He probably would've made one hell of a manager.

The couple years he actually did get to manage it seemed he was really getting the hang of it. Plus he has said that the one thing he regrets is he never got to manage a team in the all-star game (which of course would mean he managed in the WS)

It was 88 he got banned right? I loved pinella (sp) but would rather that had been rose that took us wire-to-wire in 90'

Louuuuuuuuu! Lou's the man. Have nothing but respect for the old skipper.

Loved watching him that year, his time with the reds was too short thanks to marge schott (now there was a nasty woman)

I think any team would be lucky to have a guy like Lou Piniella managing or playing for them. I remember watching footage of when he was a Yank. Greeeeeeeat player, man.

To be honest i don't follow MLB that much but i still support Red Sox.
Reason: The owner John Henry is also the owner of my favourite football club Liverpool FC :D

Now that I actually think about it, the greatest catcher all-time would probably be between 5 candidates. Joe Torre, Yogi Berra, Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, Johnny Bench, and Carlton Fisk.

Well I'm of course biased but my money is on bench

Pudge finally retire? Haven't looked real close at his stats so can't really have a good take on him being on that list

I'm probably bias due to my affilitation with St. Louis but I hold Yadier Molina in the highest regards... clearly not in the same league as the others listed as far as offensive production but overall he's the full package and has been a cornerstone for team that's played in the world series 3 times.

^ biased lol

On a side note, it looks like Terry Francona has interviewed for the Cards managerial position. It could be a start to a bright new future for both the Cardinal players, staff, and Francona himself if he is chosen.
