What's your favorite MLB team?

I don't know. It's kinda hard to tell. Tons of players used various drugs over the years. I'm sure there were steroids/PED use in baseball before it was frowned upon/banned.

It's been over a month, unfortunately. I feel so lost without baseball. I couldn't really give two shits about football, honestly. I don't get to watch my team play anyways although they are 0-10 this season lol.

Sorry to get off-topic here :p But I'm a die-hard Astros fan. Hopefully we won't suck for too much longer. Since we are cleaning house now. Although Texas is a great team I'm excited to play them more often since now we are moving to the AL.

I actually think Houston got strong armed into the AL. With the new CBA, this deal just basically f**ked teams in similar positions as the Astros from being competitive for quite some time.

Name doesn't ring a bell off top of head...

You know what we gave them for him?

SP Volquez, INF Alonso, C Grandal (both of which are first round picks - Alonso and Grandal) + draft pick.

Latos is the real deal. He's a youngster w/ great stuff. Him and Cueto should be able to anchor that rotation.

Damn! Surprised about Alonso, glad to see we got rid of volquez.

Will have to do some research on dude, for all that he must be good.

Grandal? AAA guy?

Honestly not sure. I just know that Grandal was selected with Cinci's 1st pick in 2010. Supposedly, he's a solid catcher (both on defense and offense).

As for Latos, he is the real deal. The Reds did overpay, but he will be worth it. He has a nice contract and a high ceiling with plenty of room for growth. Last season, he finished 9-14 with I think a 3.45 ERA w/ the Padres. Imagine what he could do with a better defense and a better team overall.

Latos is the kind of pitcher that you have to overpay to get. He might be a top ten pitcher who is controlled for four years.

He is one of the best relief pitchers in baseball. Cubs pitcher.

I don't know if I would go that far to say that he's one of the best RP's in the majors, but I would certainly say that he was a great addition to their pitching staff. He has most certainly discovered his stuff in the past two seasons though.

Over the last two years, his stats are as good as any relief pitcher in baseball.

Jim Bowden slammed the Reds for this deal, so it has to be great.
LOL! Now THAT is funny!

Name isn't ringing a bell... odd since we play the cubs more than a couple times a year, must really have been slacking this year.....
