If you use Flash much, Dolphin browser works better, with more sites and game content and allows doubletap for full screen. You can also zoom it to fit better if the screen is not filled up. The actual resolution of the content is better this way, since zooming the smaller video icon on the page will have less resolution and also can get bogged by other Flash content that may be running as well.

My testing of far too many game and video sites:

1. Stock works with 70% of content
2. Dolphin 90% (no Hulu, Dailymotion or any other site that plays "Hulu" like content will not work- on purpose by provider).
3. Skyfire plays most video sites that do not on Dolphin, but some video sites that work with Dolphin, do not with Skyfire. Sites that Skyfire can not play are sites that have built-in video commercials that require another button press to play the actual video.

I'm now using Dolphin HD after reading some recommends. I like it and made it my new stock so I'll be using it.

I also use Dolphin HD. I like the stock browser for some things but dolphin is really the way to go...at least for me

What browser is your favorite web browser and why?

Or do you use more than one browser depending on what you're surfing for?

I am personally using the stock browser, but have been thinking of switching and would love to hear your opinions.

dolphin hd. I liked the touchy thingy letters.

Stock most the time. Skyfire when I run into a video that won't play on stock. I tried Fennec, liked it, but still laggy.

Dolphin HD. It seems a little faster than stock and screen gestures are useful. Stock browser is really quite good, though, and integrates well with the HTC bookmarks widget.

been using dolphin hd since it came out. i use it because i can download youtube videos right in the browser. then there was an update that got rid of this feature......but i didn't update it :) :) :)

Very interesting. Looks like I need to try xScope and Dolphin HD.

For those who have used both, what are the reasons you chose one over the other?

Xscope just has a lighter feel to it. Get the matte theme for it too. Also you can pull down on the top of the browser where the tabs are to show all your typical browser options, then pull down AGAIN to see your notification bar, then push back up and scroll on the page normally to get rid of them.

Also the square icon thing to the left of your address bar is what you press to save a page as a favorite.

I voted stock since that's what I've been using, but this thread just got me to try out Dolphin and I really like it!

I'm using Dolphin HD, but looks like I'll be giving Xscope a try based on all the positive feedback about it here.

I just tried the Dolphin HD.. boy it sure beats the heck out of stock!.. especially with the finger swiping command input.. which is also customizable.. I have it set as my default on my home page now.. I also edited the Icon text to call it simply "Internet" instead of "Dolphin browser HD"..

I'll try it out for a few days and see how this works out as a browser.

Meanwhile.. whenever I exit Dophin.. it ASKS me if I wanna clear history. cache.. does anybody know how to disable that??

I've tried

Xscope
DolphinHD
Skyfire
Opera
Stock

I personally would NOT recommend xscope. I had tried the paid version too and just felt there were too many things here and there that annoyed me. Skyfire's great for videos that don't play in others. Opera is blazing fast, but rendering issues and no multitouch sort of kill it. Right now I use a combination of stock, skyfire, and DolphinHD.
