Which ROM is the best ATM?

Mine :p, although have to say I'm using the 2.2 pretty much full time as going back to any 2.1 shows just how fast 2.2 is. Having a working camera would be great but I can cope with it for the time being, and if I know I'll be going somewhere I know I'll want to take a few pics I'll just flash back to Eminence.

Well I was going to use yours but then realised the camera doesn't work with it, and I use the camera alot, with having a newborn baby lol

The camera works with Eminence as it's a customized S.E rom, DarkStyle is just a theme for 2.2.

his eminence 2.1 rom is the best one.


and yes, there is a 2.3 rom in development at the moment, the beta hasnt been released it due to it being too unstable

That's brilliant news. As long as theres hope for 2.3 in the future, i'm happy :)
 
it wont wipe the sd card and you install the files from your sd card so use you main one
 
Can't install it anyway. I get MD5 mismatch and I cba to go through the WHOLE lot that smartgardens explained.

I guess i'm stuck on SE's crappy version :(

not willing to install, as it's almost useless without some of those features

Also, I have to factory reset my phone due to z4root causing problems and unresponsiveness, but have to wait until battery has charged until I can, so could be a while until then :(
 
problems, just install eminence from xrecovery and it will be sorted.
you wont need to root after you install that rom either

i'll be putting the 2.3 on as soon as its released to try it out but yeah its far from perfect but thats the point of alpha releases, they will see what all the bugs are and fix them over time.

currently i switch between 2.1 and 2.2 :D
xrecovery is great, once you get 2.1 all sorted out the way you want, do a backup in xrecovery so that if you try other roms you can restore the 2.1 and its exactly as you saved it.
 
xRecovery keeps failing to install. I did a factory reset, and for some reason my phone was still rooted, but xRecovery still wouldn't install

Going to reset again incase it didn't restore correctly previously

EDIT: Just checked and it should be 1.6 but still 2.1 so it didn't restore correctly, will restore then try again :)

you cant install xrecovery or you cant install eminence using xrecovery?
i assume you got md5 msimatch means you have xrecovery installed.
if thats the case, try another rom but if you rename the eminence folder to _v1.2 it should work, xrecovery doesnt work with files with a space in the name.


if you keep trying and reading the various threads you will get there in the end and be willing to try other roms.
you should try the 2.2 rom aswell, just to see if you can get it installed and go back to 2.1 if you need the camera
