cool :) yeah i started off with miui xj which is really nice looking and stable - but now prefer the redux/stripped down a bit look

cheers

Teppic's Gingerbread ROM.

Nice, clean and stable. However I'm now bored of Sense. I'm tempted to flash Redux. Looks very slick and smooth with hardly any flack. I also like the add on for dalvik cache to be moved onto the SD. Another nifty little incentive.
Was looking at the MIUI Roms, but I think I'll go for Redux first.

I got here eventually, but finally managed to root to miui, and just the other night partitioned my card using clockword mod. I had read it was risky or flaky, but I haven't had any issues thankfully.

All being well, I won't look back :)

yeah redux2 is good for more stripped down feel along with oxygen and dGB for
ultra light. miui xj for full fat smoothness

Been on MIUI for a whole 3 days now, lol. It has been super fast and zippy, but the battery life has taken a real nose dive. The trade off, perhaps?

Miui is based on CM7 which hasnt got great battery life. I believe you can be fast and zippy without impacting Battery life. See dGB or Redux for example. Perhaps oxygen too, but Ive not used that.

dGB.....inteinteresting ;-)

too be honest I've not really seen much difference in battery over the roms I've tried.
miui xj,redux2,dGB,oxygen. my battery went really bad a few flashes back.
for some reason it didn't s to like the manu kernel. no idea why :-\

also, with all this rom'ing I find I'm on it all the time! :-D

cheers

Think I'm just starting to notice my battery draining a bit faster, even going down 5 'points' on my drive home and the phone seemingly doing nothing. Miui also.

I have definitely been playing about with the phone a lot more mind, so that could play a part. Can't say I do while driving though. Seems to take an age to reach full charge....

Haven't a clue about kernels....

I don't suppose anyone else has had any wifi connectivity problems while using miui? My reception is usually great but I've noticed quite a lot of dragging while using the stock browser:(

F1 Gingerbread V3

Really stripped down version, no bloat or non essential apps, allowing me to totally customise the phone how i want it.

You should try dGB then as its much more stripped down than that F1 crap.

for the truth.

i can and have done what that f1 dev has done on plenty of cm7 roms.
its easy, you take all the stuff out of it, change the info in build prop and post it as your own.
these people are script kiddies and do not know how to fix the errors within "their " roms
he is not a dev, hes using other peoples work to earn money through donations as a 14yr old kid (no joke, hes 14)

yikes that's a bit scary :-\

I'm back on cm7 again. its too good imo :-)
different theme for rom, launcher, keyboard etc obviously ;-)

Running sgbs (stock gingerbread sense 1.9/2.0).

Have had brief flings with Insertcoin, LeeDroid, Oxygen and CM7.

I'm very interested in finding the best asop Rom (ie. Quick, good battery) but because they take more tine to set up initially, I haven't had the patience yet. Thinking ill wait till I pick up courage to flash hboot and try dgb's

cm7 is the best for me. so many nice touches imo. but I will need to s-off and
custom hboot for space :-D
