Root White Widow

the MT keyboard isnt actually MT...at least from what i can see, but i dont understand how a keyboard can be MT to begin with...so i could be totally wrong lol

the keyboard i put in suave smush is just because it matched the overall theme of that rom. for this rom i recommend the HTC_IME mod included in the optional installs pack thats pushed to your sdcard.

ahhhh i see.. okay Yeah the HTC_IME keyboard works perfectly and I can use compact qwerty now

I am just be on crack but I have a different in call screen. It now has a pull up dialer and different looking menu. Or am I on crack...

MOD EDIT:This is the last time I will address this situation in a thread, from now on warnings and/or infractions will be handed out. If ANYONE has a problem with the OP then you should contact a Mod or Admin. Calling him out in threads will not be tolerated.

And one other thing, this is AndroidForums.com, not XDA.

Andrizoid, what widgets are those where you have the clock (2nd image) and the weather (3rd image)? I am looking for widgets like that! Thanks.

the weather is weatherbug elite. paid app.

nothing. i think noonehere misunderstood my comment about hosting my links. i think he took it to mean that i was going to host them myself so i could include whatever i wanted.

im just hosting them to make it easier for me, everything in one place, and faster up/download speeds

I didn't miss understand what you said at all... just making sure everyone is on the same page and that the flaming wars for this rom are finished... Follow my rules and all will be golden

Note -

1) If you intend to promote, post or link your own rom on this site make sure all apps are open source or that you have consent to use them.

2) Make sure you have your own MD5sums and are not modifying someone elses work and taking the credit!

3) If you had help on the rom or permission to use someone elses base rom make sure credit is given to those deserving!

4) NO PAWNED OR PIRATED apps/roms or otherwise!

Im already running plain jane rom with a2sd but i think i wanna switch to this. Do i just flash this rom or what all do i need to do?

you may not have to wipe the ext. give it a shot with just a data/dalvik wipe. if you get FC's when you beet up then do an ext wipe

I'm having an issue where my phone lags for a few seconds after I unlock it... any way to figure out what's causing it? I don't know if it's the ROM, a widget, an app, etc...

What kind of launcher are you running? I'm using LP's launcher and there is an option to keep it in memory...that seems to help.

You may also want to check your setcpu settings. If you're minimum is set really low sometimes that can cause a problem when waking it up.

Where can I download this new version of White Widow? Im running 4.4 right now. Can you add a widget/app that will automatically update White Widow without needing to flash the rom?

I'm not sure if the reason behind this has been explained already, but I'm just curious. Why do some people have to flash the tsupdate3 file when others have no issues with touchscreen responsiveness? When I flash White Widow on my Eris, I get no response from my touchscreen. My buddy just flashed White Widow on his Eris and he has no issue with the touchscreen? What's different on his Eris than mine? I'm just curious, because the proximity sensor issue is really annoying me, and he doesn't have that problem because he didn't have to flash TSUpdate3.

any thoughts?

Thanks.

I'm running ADWLauncher... I found a setting in Spare Parts to to keep launcher in memory, so I turned that on and we'll see how it goes.

I had SetCPU at 768/528 when this happened this morning (it was fine last night though). After I rebooted today I lowered it to 710/528. Does that sound about right? It seems to be running a lot better now, so maybe that was the problem, I dunno.

ya. your profiles may be set wrong.
check your sleep-standby profile

My sleep profile is set to 245/245, as suggested in another thread I found. Should I leave it or adjust it?

I did have this problem a few days ago when I was running at 710/528, where it would be frozen for a few seconds after unlocking... reboot usually fixed the problem, but today was just extremely bad - like upwards of 10 seconds or so.

Thanks for the tips, guys! :D

It's really hard to say what speed your phone should be set to as every phone is different. You may have to play around with it to find that sweet spot. I don't have a lot of experience with overclocking the Eris yet, ( I just rooted my wife's last night) since I have the Droid which is very different for overclocking. But my experience with the Droid is that going too low on the sleep profile can cause it to be very sluggish when waking it up.

Well I'm still getting 2-3 seconds of freeze after unlocking the screen, kind of annoying... I even went as far as disabling the sleep/standby profile in SetCPU... any other suggestions? I have no idea what else it could be :(

EDIT: I've figured out that it is after the screen is turned on, not unlocked. Meaning, if I wake the phone up, look at the lock screen for 2-3 seconds, then unlock... no lag, no freeze. Strangely enough, I can move the lock and volume tabs instantly after waking the phone, no problems. But if I wake the phone, then instantly unlock it, it's frozen for 2-3 seconds. Weird and I don't like it...
