I agree with Martimus. Besides, I also feel that the Bionic is several months too late in its debut. The NextGen Vzw phones are going to seriously outclass the Bionic regarding specs.

I agree as well. after doing some research, I'm not really excited about the current/upcoming offerings. Although I do like the D3 (because of the KB), I'm not going to shell out my hard-earned $$$ for what's now the "latest". We'll see what the Droid/Nexus Prime offers, or maybe something quad-core next year...

My Droid X is still going strong and I'm happy with all the functionality it offers - it meets my needs with very few problems and is by far the best phone I've ever owned.

I'm sure most of the people on this forum don't feel the same way as me but I'm just not that impressed with the whole smart phone thing and I'm coming from an old clam shell style phone. Now my solitaire games are touch screen controlled instead of using buttons. ;)

Though it is nice having a gps/map navigation tool readily available.

From what I've been reading, VZW won't get a Pure Google experience Nexus Prime, but a similarly spec'd device possibly called the "Droid Prime". Has anyone else heard about this?

It's one of the reasons why this forum has a Nexus Prime and a Samsung Droid Prime section. I guess its only because there has been nothing definitively seen of a device called Nexus Prime but some leaks from Verizon have shown a Samsung Prime.

I live in northern AZ and dont expect 4g for another year plus. I see no reason to upgrade yet; I have been able to throw anything at my x and just downgraded to tether my tablet so something my X won't handle I'll just use my Acer.

I'm still under contract. But even if I wasn't, there's nothing out right now that is better enough than the DX to make me want to spend the money for it.

Why would you pay more for data? You are grandfathered-in to the old unlimited data plan, right? Or do you not have an unlimited data plan?

it was my understanding that i'm grandfathered in under the 3G plans, not the 4G. if I'm incorrect in my assumption, well, that wouldn't be the first time. I thought you had to lock in a 4G contract at unlimited to be grandfathered for 4G...

You will have unlimited 4G if you are grandfathered-in to unlimited 3G ;)

I found this doing a quick search:

Yep you can upgrade from your X to a 4g phone and keep your unlimited data. I had no problems when I upgraded from my X to the bionic.
