Thunderbolt isnt perfect but I wouldnt give it up for any current Verizon phone or any of the upcoming Dual-Core Phones. But I prefer HTC to Samsung and Moto.

The thing I am worried about is when they will discontinue the unlimited web, which I want. So I'm worried if I wait too long that will be gone, but I'm not sure if I would be grandfathered in if I got the unlimited web.
So lets say April 26th comes up, I go and get the TB and unlimited web. They discontinue the web the next day, I get grandfathered into it and then a few days later the bionic would come out. Would I be able to return the TB and keep the unlimited web or would I lose that on the return?
Thanks in advance, not even sure this makes sense.
LOL, I just want to know the positives of the phone, since I've only really seen negatives.
. J/K...but I seriously think it's the best camera on an Android device thus far.
And I also would like to root it, I think. When I had the MT4G I rooted it and was happier with it rooted then when it wasn't, so I'm not sure if that factors into this phone or other ones, I read that the bionic would be harder to root? :S
They keep putting motoblur on every device they put out there...so it's obvious they don't listen to their customers. Many people like Sense but for those that prefer stock, it probably wont deter them from buying the device. I for one would have to be MADLY in love with a piece of hardware to put up with Motoblur! /end rant
)...it' s not a big deal. But this was a big reason for me to only go with a one year contract. This phone isn't future proofed as well as the Bionic or other dual core phone are.One thing I'm going to put to rest, this isn't the phone after my dream phone. My dream phone is a few phones after this phone......
Yeah...I completely agree. It's certainly not my dream phone but it's the best Android phone I've owned (or even handled) to this point.
I love how everything in the Thunderbolt forums seems to turn into a iPhone vs. Android debate... Seriously, for the topic at hand, go to the store and play around with one, read up on the positives and negatives, and make your decision. I personally love mine but I knew what I wanted in a device and this thing fit the bill.
I wouldn't cross the bionic off your list just yet, or any future device that they say you won't be able to root! The developers around here are good enough that they will figure out a waySo I definitely want to root my phone when I get it. I guess the bionic is crossed off my list now, what about upcoming phones and the rooting capabilities with them? Any others I should cross off my list as well?

You don't have any idea what you are talking about. And you couldn't be more wrong. There are literally dozens of phones with better operational specs. And no matter if you like it or not, Tbolt is really just an Evo with more Internal storage and ram. It has the same processor, crappy screen, software, camera. Oh and you don't even get the HDMI out that the EVO has.
Most of the newer phones have much better hardware. Deal with it.
I'm not saying the Tbolt isn't a good phone. But it's a good phone in it's own right, it doesn't need you in here making it sound better than it actually is. It's good, but it's technology is getting older. No dual-core, no high res screen(very noticeable even if you think it wouldn't be), no HDMI out, no NFC, bad camera performance(this is undeniable just search these very forums if you don't believe me) and it doesn't even launch with Gingerbread installed, tho they promise it will get GB "soon". Also, single core chipset matters, even if you refuse to admit it. It matters more going forward too. So in 1 or 2 years it's gonna be a huge difference with gaming apps especially.
To buy or not to buy the TB.... No more 1 year contracts after 4/17... (jeopardy theme plays)...
