Root Why does the Android Market look so ugly?

Hi all,

I did Amon RA, Deck 1.3 ROM, GRapps, some kernel, and GPS Fix last night and all is working well, but it's hard to get over how ugly the Android Market looks now. Is that part of GRapps and just a really old version? If so, how do I update it to the newest Android Market and is there a best way to do that?

Did you use the GApps file I posted in your original post? If so that is the newer Market and it's supposed to match the new ICS style. You will get used to it ;)

Dang this progressed quickly, got my thunder stolen.:p

I suspected it was probably the new version, and I dont really like it either.
 
^ ha. me either. I persoanlly think the new layout looks nice. regardless, with all the new things in market (books, music, movies) the old layout isn't really feasible anymore
 
Now they're trying to compete with other products to get books, movies, and music (Apple). I find the new Market to be ugly too just like Gingerbread's look and feel as was Eclair's old look. I wonder what is Google doing.

Is it possible to get the old Market back or to get a different looking version of the Market? I remember some ROMs from Froyo had different colors like orange or something.

yes you can do it a bunch of different ways like make a nandroid backup and flash a froyo rom make a tb backup of the old market then nand restore back and unistall current market and restore the old market with tb.
