Root Wiimote to Evo connection issue

I have read other articles, threads etc regarding connecting the wii remote to evo, but none have helped and they arent really recent. I just want to know if there is anyome out there who has their wii remote connected to their Evo 2.3. If so could you help me and tell me which rom and kernel you are running. Because atm I am running cm7.1 and i believe the tiamat kernel. I go to connect the wii remote via one of the wiimote apps and the app finds my wii remote and it prompts me to enter a pin. I enter the pin they tell me to input, but it doesnt work. Help will be GREATLY appreciated

I had no idea that was even possible....lol That being said... Maybe try flashing to a sense rom and see if it works there. CM can b a bit buggy sometimes, and if the app was inteded for use on a htc evo, maybe it needs sense to work?

Theoretically I guess it should work on sense, but the thing is htc went wrong on bluetooth stacking and so basically it sucks and according to many threads Ive read wiimote wont work on sense roms only on non-sense roms. This is so frustrating lol

EDIT: Looks like I'll need to update my tigerGBC (added wiimote support), but my signal isn't there, and Internet speed is non-existent.

Well, here's my progress until I learned that my version has no support for the wiimote.
But I was able to connect the wiimote to the phone (press the little button in the back).
I'm on CM7 and have a wii... I'll try it now, what app are you using currently?
Hmm... looks like you mentioned an app called 'wiimote' I'll try that.
2. Using one called "wiimote controller"... downloading from market.

...

Okay, installed wiimote controller, setting up wiimoteIME keyboard or whatever. I am only changing the Activate another keyboard setting.

As ocn said, tiger gbc is a gameboy color emulator. I downloaded the latest one to try and help you with this, but it's freezing on me. So I'll give it a while and maybe see if the issue solves itself...
Also it prompts to make you enter a pin to connect. Do we really need a pin?
I didn't have to do anything with a pin. I downloaded WiimoteController (or whatever). From there I set up the Wiimote Keyboard (Language & Keyboards). I then used the app to (I believe) "init & config" a wiimote. Click that, then click the little button near the batteries on the wiimote.

I'll have to see if tiger gbc update starts working better, else I'll be downgrading to my last version.

Still doesnt work. It starts connecting then it days connection is lost. I am using the cm shade oxygen #1 kernel. Its either the kernel or my wiimote. Cause im using a knock off version i just found out because it doesnt have the nintendo logo.

Hmm... I don't know. Mine was able to connect right way (I'm running a 4.0.6or7 SBC tiamat kernel though). I would think that for the wiimote to work with the wii, it'd need to use the same bluetooth stack, and I'm guessing that kernel (though I've used it) is using the right bluetooth stack too...

Weird. I guess you could nandroid and flash a new kernel and then if that doesn't work backup and go from there...

By the way which version of cm7 are you using? cm7 or cm7.1?

well my friend is on cm7.1 and he was able to pair his bluetooth keyboard to his evo with no issues. so i'm not sure why it should not work for you. i also think that cm7.0 should have the blutooth stack support as well.

what other kernels have you tried? have you tried tiamat?

I'm on CM7.1.0 RC 1 lol :D

Also, tiamat (i think I posted that earlier...). The only problem with me is the emulator I use was a bit buggy in it's latest version, so I went back to the one that didn't yet support wii mote... :(

BUMP

Any progress here?

I'm trying to connect a bluetooth mouse & keyboard to CM7.1 Stable and am not getting anywhere. So damn frustrating!!!!!
