Root Will the Spec get 4.1?

And again you guys are missing the keyword. 'LG DEVICES'. Find me an LG device on Verizon in the USA that has received 2 major OS upgrades. LG DEVICES. NOT Moto/HTC/Samsung.

Yea I think we can all agree the razr is verizon new baby and will give it another update.

Most phones never got more than one because they simply didn't have the hardware to support it, but that

Well the revo and spec are the only 2 lgs ive seen from verizon that are decent. The rest ive seen have all been $50 or less low end phones.

@ bones, it's rare to see that, because the os dedicates more ram to apps as the os evolves, no doubt inline with advancements in phones.

Case in point, I loaded the leak and apps were using 10mb more ram than on v6. Not a big deal on this phone, but when a phone like the og droid is being discussed, there isn't enough memory for an ICS build.... And it shows in the performance.

Samsung fascinate started on eclair and was updatex to froyo and gingerbread. Also samsung released source for ics but never released an official update because they didnt want to scrap touchwiz. Now it runs cm10 damn near flawlessly... If im not mistaken the droid eris started with cupcake and got updates all the way to gingerbread. And its got jb roms that from reading on seem like solid roms.. And the d1 has a 600mhz processor if i remember correctly..

It all depends on the carrier manufacturer and sales of the device... if sales suck they arent going to spend the time and money to update something that only consists of a small piece of their customers
The Eris was only officially updated to eclair
