Yeah.. Did that after installing Win10 on erased portion to get grub to see windows.. Runs like a dream!Yeah, I kind of remember that happening too and fixing it by running update grub
Lubuntu is quite similar to Windows as well. Very lightweight and can run on older hardware. Small enough that the installation disk fits on a CD. I just installed a copy on a Vista era laptop with only 2 (maybe 4?) GB of ddr2 and a 60gb spinner. Fast as ever
Upon installation (when u type in your name/PC name) there's a box to uncheck that eliminates so much pswd crap..Sooo, this having to enter a password to do ANYTHING is getting old. I'm sure I'll find the way to turn that off. No Security settings that I can see. I'm guessing it's a terminal cmd. I'd have to enter my password 7 times for that though.
