Root Wiping Battery Stats

I see that some ROMS suggest that you wipe your battery stats. Is this necessary or is it something that superwipe already does? Or is it not a necessary wipe? What are the advantages or disadvantages?

it is not necessary, but some say that it helps. i do not do this practice. i tried it and i really did not see much in improvement. so that is up to you. it does not hurt to try it. let us know how it goes for you.

I don't do it either... i tried it several times and didn't see any improvement... and im pretty sure it is NOT covered under superwipe... someone can correct me if im wrong..

I believe it can be helpful if you plan on staying on the same rom for an extended period of time. If you regularly flash roms, there probably won't be a significant difference.
