Root With a 2gb SD card, what size should the partition be for data2ext

It is an Optimus V ClockworkMod 3.2.0.1 with a 2gb sd card.

I want to put data2ext, what size should I make the partition?

Thank you!

I remember reading a 2nd partition should be no more than 10% of the sdcards size. For a 2gb you'd then wanna stay around 200mb.

I don't know the reasoning behind this except maybe wear and tear on sdcard.

I'm trying to find the source of this

That being said, most data 2 ext. apps require no less than 500MB partition with 1GB being acceptable and 2GB being optimal. As you can see a 2GB uSD is not advised. If you decide to purchase a larger card stay away from the cheap ones on e-bay (or anywhere for that matter) , you get what you pay for. Class number of a card does not denote quality, the manufacturer does. Class number only designates the write speed, not the read speed. Read speed is more important to smart phone users as the faster the read speed, the sooner the phone can go from reboot to fully functional with all apps on the uSD card being able to be used.
