Is the Verizon LTE Galaxy Nexus still going to include the Wi-Fi Hotspot feature as part of ICS, or will that be a "feature"/app controlled by Verizon?
 
Does anyone know if you to change the e-mail font size in the stock (non-GMail) application on the G-Nex? I have contacted several reviewers and nobody seems to know. Thank you.
 
i hope this is a really dumb question but Verizon tends to force locked bootloaders on their android devices, anyone knows for a fact that this nexus will not have a locked boatloader

I don't think the Charge had an encrypted bootloader, and HTC was going all lockytocky for a while "just because ..." I doubt the Nexus, which is Samsung (like the Fascinate and Charge) would have a locked bootloader. I mean, anything is possible with Verizon's need for control, but I doubt it.

It won't be locked. Fact.

Also, Verizon doesn't force locked bootloaders. Verizon and Motorola have worked together to lock bootloaders. But Verizon has offered a substantial number of Android phones in the past few years with unlocked bootloaders.

Probably old news by now, but there will be a 2100mAh OEM battery. It does com with a battery door so I'm guessing it may add some thickness. Reportedly it will cost $49.99. There are also reports the 3rd party batteries won't work, but I think this relates to the NFC function only.

I've seen some of the videos taken with GNex and have concerns about the jello effect that is quite noticeable. I read in the mega pre-release thread that someone mentioned there was an app that could help with the jello effect. That doesn't really seem possible to me. Any information on the video camera issue and if there is a fix coming?
 
How is visibility outdoors. I think I read somewhere that the display was not as bright as the razr (can't find the reference now) so I was curious if the screen can be seen under very bright day light ?
 
Do the hard keys have any sort of function for the camera? I.E. Zooming or actually snapping pictures?

No they do not, the volume buttons are just that when taking pictures, no buttons have actually taken the picture for me besides the on screen one. There are also on screen "sliders"(couldn't think of the word) to zoom in.

This is a weird question, but how are the earphones?
I have the puregear verizon earphones, and if the earphones are somewhat anti-tangle and as good as those earphones, I will definitely return the earphones.

This may be late but im typing this on my galaxy nexus. I can confirm the gsearch is like your dock it stays on all your home screens.
 
Settings > Apps > All > Google Search > "disable"

you can turn it off, but you cannot use the space it took up for shortcuts/widgets.
 
Is there ANY way that anyone can think of to save game data without rooting? I don't care if it's risky, expensive, whatever.... Just really need it done, so I'm desperate. Thanks in advance!
 
Also, may be a dumb q, but is there any ill effects to connecting your previously activated device to WiFi, including your Google account, after you've upgraded and activated a new phone?

For example, got the Nexus today but still have my Droid X. Nexus is line on the account, but I'd like to continue using the DX via WiFi only. Doubt any issues arise, but figured I'd check! Thanks!!
