The widget where in 1.6 you can turn on/off Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS and Sound (ringer, vibrate, off) has changed to Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Sync and Brightness.

I often used the sound button, anyone knows a good widget that can put it in vibrate without having to go in the menus?

you can do an inverse slide on the lock screen, slide it the other way it will mute it

ok so 2.1 is here but:

it's still laggy and i think the 30% battery improvement comes from SE not letting you use full brightness anymore, the screen is a lot brighter on 1.6 than 2.1

anyone experienced this?

I've found that 2.1 on 100% brightness is the same as 1.6 on 50%, so have it full now as 50% on 2.1 is just too dark.

Yeah I'm realy disappointed with that, they've fobbed us off with an amazing battery life improvement by reducing the brightness. Admittedly, I never used it on full brightness, but i'd rather they didnt claim extra battery life, I was more than impressed battery lie on 1.6 anyway.

I also wish that the battery level indicator which shows on the lock screen showed when the phone is not plugged in as well.

It does show in the statusbar, so not sure why they had to add anything to the lockscreen.

Sorry I meant the actual percentage (or did I miss that in the statusbar?) I quite like seeing an actual figure as the images can be rather misleading (49% battery looks like 1/3 full).

now i'm pissed off as during the day it's not bright enough!

also all the decent wall papers and live ones are really designed to mask the inability to display the full 16mil colors

no native exchange support at least for email, still have to use the crappy moxier

at least the keyboard is a bit better than the shocking one on 1.6

oh and no MT sux when playing angry birds, on the iphone you can zoom out and see the whole game area not just half

Hey, the problem I found on my side is that when playing music, the sound is "mono" so if a song has stereo tracks recorded, I am not hearing them! I tried two pairs of headphones so it is not the problem. Seems related with the 2.1 upgrade. Anyone had the same problem? Thanks!

still haven't put the sim card in it but setup moxier mail ... and the fonts look washed out compared to 1.6

the more i play with this the more disappointed i am

Oh come on

Its not SONY that says its 30% improvement on battery life, its the 2.1 software that does it due to improved task and app management

which if you peruse the android pages that i've posted before you would see

HEHEHE still not got it yet anyway but NEVER had my screen over about 33%

This will only turn off the sound and vibrate mode, I want the phone on vibrate. I guess my only option will be the side buttons...

Ive got a status change widget that changes Airplane mode, Wifi, BT, GPS, Sound/vibrate/scilent and Mobile network setting. It came with 2.1. :)

2.1 is great on my x10a, but when I click the square to access the menu, it passage. Anyone experience this?

My market downloads just stick at "starting download" since 2.1 upgrade and Titanium backup restore.

I've tried everything:-

  • deleting google mail account
  • taking out battery and sim
  • emptying caches and data
  • 3g and wireless

Any other tips before I smash my phone up?
