I downloaded xtrROM also. Same problem, doesn't show in list when I try "flash from SD".

It sure sounds like that's the problem. Is the xtrSENSE and xtrROM .zip files in the same place as that gscript.zip file that you say that you can see in Recovery?

Upgraded from 4.6.1 - it took 4 minutes. Works like a charm.

Question: I had an app that I cannot find: it allowed to quickly restart/reboot and select
the boot option. The icon looked like a small triangle. Anyone remembers what app it could be?

Did you download the zip on your phone or did you download it on your computer then move it to your SD card. Sounds like doogald said its not in the root SD but in the download folder.

If you look in the folder called download in whatever file manager you use does it show the zip in it.

I've noticedand it may just be me but every time I wake it up there's a flicker in the screen.

Same thing happened to me while using this ROM. When you come out of sleep or vice versa it kind of looks like what an old TV did when you shut it off.

Not sure we're talking about the same thing. It only happens when I wake it up. It's a tiny glich in the screen. I haven't noticed this on other roms.

1)restored my xtr 4.6.5 backup. dint notice any flicker
2)flashed 5.0 overtop after a dalvic wipe.

now,when i wake him up,screen comes on fine... i slide down the lock... the homescreen comes on,and imediately there is a flash. screen goes off for a micro second to a black screen,then comes back and the weather animations start.

is this what youre seein?

I beleive it is. I flashed back to GSB 2.0 and it doesn't do it. Weird.
So unless the two of us is smoking the same thing eek it has to be happening to others. Maybe they don't notice it.

Turn off the weather animations and see if it quits. Sounds to me like it's the animations coming on to slowly.

How exactly do you turn off the animations? I can never find a setting for that.

Just guessing here as I'm not on xtrsense anymore.

In settings/display you can turn all animations off, not sure these turn the weather ones off though.

Long press the clock/weather widget and look in the settings for it, I think there's one in there.

The flash? Now that you mention it, I do see it. It doesn't bother me all that much.

My old calendar notification bug came back last night. I may go back to CELB or GSB if this keeps up. It was that, and the constant browser force close whenever I opened a link from another app (say, gmail or twitter), that pushed me to root my phone in the first place last year.

To remove it? Delete the widget. Add the widget again (it's the clock widget, the third or fourth choice when you choose HTC widgets/Clock widget). You choose the city, then it asks if you want full-screen animation.

I did that and no more flash, and, more importantly, no more stupid animation.

Doesn't "coming out of sleep" mean "wake it up"? LOL, we're saying the same thing. Just different terminology. And the flash you describe simply reminds me of an old tv, how the screen "flickers" or "flashes" right when you turn it on/off. Anyway, I reflashed this XTR ROM to keep it as my default/backup to always go back to as I play with other ROMS, and said "flash" problem corrected itself. Mine no longer does it.

I did so because you can configure the widget to look alot like an old "sense" widget with weather/clock. There are a ton of backgrounds you can download for free once you have it, small/large widget, you can split the clock/weather up, it has an additional "forecast" widget you can add/delete. BUT, most importantly, it DOES have the animation feature, even a separate check box to use/not use the "wiper" function, and I'm using it on this XTR ROM with the animation on and there is NO "flicker/flash" problem when the animation starts.

I'm kinda of a dud when it comes to doing fancy things to my phone although I really should try new things to make it look cool. I've seen some really bitchin screen shots that some people do. I never took the time to learn how. That gives me an idea for a new thread.

lol,i kinda like the animations. i keep them off most of the time,but i do turn it on sumetimes(fancy widgets) i get a kick out of it when its raining and the lil windshield wiper comes out and cleans off the screen

i agree... im a big fan of fancy widgets,too.

WOW. After I praised Fancy Widget, mine froze. LOL, well, it freezes. I downloaded XTRSense 5.0, made LauncherProPlus my default, and put my Fancy Widget clock and weather on my homescreen, as I have the Fancy Forecast on my second screen above my monthly calendar. All day, when I unlock my phone, the clock is stuck, and remains stuck. I have to manually refresh. Then, once refreshed, even if I'm using my phone, when I go back to the home screen, it had stayed at the refreshed time. WTF. Ever happen to anyone? Suggestions? Yes, I uninstalled/Reinstalled. Didn't help.

is there a setting to automatically refresh? i dont use fancy widgets with sense roms(i kinda feel like whats the point of using a sense rom if im not gonna use the sense launcher and widget )

on the wakeup blink,i have just discovered that if you wake the phone up on a screen that DOESNT have the weather widget, no blinky. for whatever thats worth
