Hi there... I got my ZT 180 512 MB android 2.2
Could any one help me installing the Widows CE in it.
I tried the burn tools but the driver is not detected .. I tried many ways but failed.
Is there is away to upload the windows CE to the TF CARD and install it to the EPAD... IF there is please give me the links so i can download the files. Thank you

Ok.. Ive been reading as many zt-180 theads as i can find.
with all of the problems these zenithink pads have? no name brands and knockoffs and verson 2s and verson 1s.. how do you find out exactly who built your zenithink internals/pad.. my box says superpad. my user book says no brand name.. my install was basic. Ive had the market since i've opened the box. ive been watching videos. came with flash iam sure of it *untill i started to mess it*

Received the item Wholesale Product Snapshot Product name is 10.2inch ePad ZT 180 Android 2.2 512MB Camera HDMI Tablet PC drop shipping support from Eternal Team. So far good, except , I am not able to open the external SD Card. It does not recognize the micro Sd card, or the USB flash drive.
Both storage media above are not brand new, I tried the SD card from my phone. I also downloaded a file mgr from APS (ASTRO), stil no luck to read the external storage. Does it need brand new sd card?
Any information on how to get this resolve would be apprecaited.

I received my Tablet:
10.2" Android 2.2 FROYO ZT 180 512MB RAM Tablet pc on eBay (end time 26-Mar-11 22:24:55 GMT)
And ... it is almost JUNK
The display has poor quality ... limited view angle, and lot of "clouds" effect due to not well distributed back light.
3G support is NONE ... seller change the picture of the product stating 3G just before delivery ...
Volume buttons are assigned to other functions ... that people need to learn by guessing.
Andorid 2.2 inside is very UNSTABLE ... around 50% of the application are crashing.
Fring does not recognize the camera and it crash while trying to make a call.
Included Skype is a joke ... just good for IM.
My learning is : just a tablet to give to a 3/4 years old kid for mess around with some simple kids applications.
Quite a waste of money.
On top, WLAN range is incredible small

pps: SD card works for me ... but I put in the card from my Sanyo camera ... with 100 pictures and videos in one single folder ... and ... when trying to open a photo ... it hangs forever ..
ppps: Very often you need to reset this device ... since is freezing ... power button will not work, as well anything else will not change ... only the reset can rescue the device

I did install the latest from : 10inch_4GB+512MB_Android2.2.rar???????|????-????-??????
It is just few days more new then what was preinstalled ...
Not much of the difference ... still Fring does not recognize the camera and does not work.
After this ... some memory card are no more read by the tablet ... and as well ... I see some wrong red pixel in the top bar, sometime ... so maybe is not really working much better.
On the positive side: the video player is good, I can see even HD DivX movies in a decent way, normal DivX in DVD standard are very smooth. YouTube is working fine, smooth also in HD mode ...
On negative, the photo album is incredible slow, I can't see photos from memory card
Plus, lot of software does not work fine ...

ps: At the end ... is just an half table, good only for use Web Browser, YouTube ... but not for video conference, or have reliable apps
"How to use Mass Storage
- 1. Connect it to your pc via USB cable.
- 2. Next the go to menu/settings/sdcard storage/ unmount the external sdcard.
- 3. Then pull down notification bar tap select the USB connect.
- 4. Then tap turn on and it will connect. "

Ok try this have the sd card inn your tablet and reboot it see if it see it then, do you have root explorer some type of file explorer if so, even tho it is grayed out go to your file manger app open it go to /external sd card and see if the movies/pics/videos and other files are being read. On my tablet it sometime does this where it is grayed out but using my fie explorer i go to the external sd card and it does read it.

I agree with some of what you are saying the camera is pointless if you can use it to do video calling or take picture/very well but I'm talking to one of the developers from Zenithink to get us the source code so the developers that make all these custom Roms/themes can start making our tablets a better experience.
I start to use it a bit more.
What I can say:
YouTube, Internet browser are working very good. (So if this is the main usage, it can make still sense)
On the bad side is the WLAN range is terrible, worst ever I had in any device.
Display quality is quite poor, mainly due to incredible narrow view angle.
Video play back is quite impressive ... I did manage to see in good quality video done in Full HD 30fps from my Sanyo CG100 . something that most NetBook and most notebook can't manage to show.
I heard that the apps that don't works is relative common issue on the Android word (not a nice word I would say)
What is missing is:
- Proper audio and video web cam drivers in the tablet, to make it working with VoIP and Video on IP
- Fring support
- Maybe a jump on Android 2.3 when will be available ...
Anyhow ... is the Firmware & OS for this tablet from an Open Source Project ? Or is just in the hands of Zenithink ?
Is the link 10inch_4GB+512MB_Android2.2.rar???????|????-????-?????? official ? or is just a upload done by some private people ?

ps: Angry Birds works fine too ... very nice with big display ... so only for this plus YouTube & Internet Browser ... make this acceptable for be bought ... but ... there are good potential on this tablet ... and will be nice to expand more.
pps: I'm also looking for see and extranal USB-Memory sticks ? Is this a Android Limitation ?
ppps: The USB-OTG ... it is working fine by default on my Windows XP ... at least I don't have to pass data over SD card.

As of right now it is not open source but there are many of us talking to the developers to get it open source. This would help there sales because then people could start making custom Roms/themes get the camera and other things fixed. People would see the actual potential that this tablet offers
Tried with yet another explore, but no luck reading the external SD card.
is there some option that says not to read external card? Wonder I might have mistakenly selected that option, thus, skipping the external card?
As last resort, how do I do the factory reset? I will try and see, fi that resolve this issue? ( i have tried the reset key few times for other freeze related things, I am not talking about clicking the reset button).

I would like to flash my epad with a newer version of the firmware. I did it once before and it imporoved things a lot. The reason being now when i start it up it starts giving me notices, App xxxyyy is not working, close down ? then the next one then the next etc
Anyway I tried going to www.zenethink.us and it seems the site has closed. It is saying that it will be up soon however that message is dated 16 february
Does anyone know where else i can find the upgrades ? the ones i have found are unforunataly only in chinese

Yes the external SD card is my biggest frustration with this tablet. I have tried several 4 gig ,8 gig and 16 gig . all supposed to work with this tablet. It will only see the 4 gig cards from different brands. BUT IT WON"T MOVE any software onto it. I do get it to read memory sycks of various sizes. I have noy yet done any updates to the firware as I am not very familiar with tablets yet. I would just love to be able to use the extra syorage of the external SD cards

I have had two go wrong they are made in china and 3rd go missing by DHL.
Watch out for the unit you should purchase, i purchased mine from Virtual Village.
I am waiting for my money back and looking for reliability. Maybe secondhand iPad from cex.com, it will cost more and get 12 months guarantee.

Im going to sell mine and its working perfect and updated to 2.2
Im based in Ireland.
You may need to reformat it.
I'm using my Pad for most internet reading, ebooks, some news apps, mp3 player, Youtube.
Youtube in HD is working very well. Reading is fine.
Some buttons on web sites don't work in the browser, which is a PITA. I contacted Zenithink US once and got a very arrogant reply about support and why I shouldn't buy direct from Asia...then they disappeared. The Chinese site is impossible to navigate unless you know Chinese.
The camera is pointless, the SD card is flaky (USB works fine). I can't get more than 3 hours/charge and the WiFi Antenna is awful. The touch screen is very frustrating -it will sense location off by up to 1/2 inch.
Overall, hate to say it, but I would have been much better off with a used iPad. This may change in a few months when serious Android tablet apps are available, but even now, the latest version of "Angry Birds" won't install, and many installs that require hardware recognition don't work. This says that no one has this device on their development radar.
I regard it as slightly better than a Kindle, but not a serious pad.
I have the Zenithink 2.2 512 MB 4GB 2, Updated it to the latest version off there site and have it working. Some things are unstable but for the most part working good. 1 thing I found is if you have a large SD it makes the Unit Flakey. I tried a 32 bit and had all kinds of issues. I finally landed on a 8GB Sanddisk and that is working fine. Hope you have better luck...
Angry Birds work perfectly on my ePad ZT-180 v2.
Internet Browser + YouTube + AngryBirds ... alone justify the sense of this tablet.
It will be nicer if the OS get more stable, with better camera support.
Fring does not work not even for voice, so VoIP and Video over IP ... are impossible right now ... and this is a big limitation on my view

ps: Soon are coming better Tablets on the market, Adroid 3.0 , etc ... the Zenithink team would better open the source code in order to keep up to date this tablet, else will soon sell nothing of this tablet ,.... maybe they have a new v3 on the pipeline ... but ... still will be nice for them to open v1 and v2 to open source ... and keep the old customer happy ...
