I'm on paranoid android and I can download the MMS but can't view them. I'm pretty sure my friend is just trying to send me normal texts but they are registering as mms.
So this is working on all AKOP ROMs, or just a few? I'm using mazda's.
I'd like to have it working, but to be honest, I didn't know it wasn't working until I read the thread yesterday. I don't MMS that much.
So now that the dust has settled a bit, what were the key parameter(s) to get MMS to work on AOSP based ROM's for VM users? Since there were no coding changes involved, it must just have been a configuration issue.should work on all cm/pa/aokp/aosp roms... haven't tested each and every rom but no reports of problems from any so far...

I'm on paranoid android 2.99
How do I change the apn's setting on this ROM to get MMS working. As it says we can now download and send MMS..
once you move the downloaded MMS file, it is still an .zip file. do you just rename it to .apk, or unzip it, then move it?
I'm sure this has been asked before, but a quick search failed me.
Taking a Sprint rom, and putting it on a Virgin Mobile phone, will I have to edit build.prop or anything?

downloaded file should be a .apk
make sure you download one of the 3 from the op and not from my second post...
Yeah I thought that was just for MMS fix. Wasn't sure if there was anything else that needed 'patching' in order to make the rom function on Virgin Mobile as far as data/phone calls/etc.You have to edit the APN file. Look at the first post.
They are all downloading as .zip, but as someone just suggested, I'll rename it .apk.
