AOKP has been good on battery for me. So I'm pretty happy with it. Don't think I'll flash pacman for a bit honestly.
so can we get a list of roms that do and don't work? looks like i can't get it to work with gangnam style
Gangnam style has a lot of apns presets, I wish I'd known that sooner before when I knew what I was doing. Anyway try the settings on an apn which has the password already put in as "*"
Seems to be working on pacman. Sent picture to fiance, says it went through, but seeing as she's at work, it'll be a while before I hear back.
Large sms stay as sending forever though it seems.
Also, side note, pacman is randomly rebooting on me when running Pandora. Going to see if flashing mac kernel helps.
This fix is working for me on HTC Evo 3D using D.I.R.T 3.5.2 JB rom. The only issue that I've noticed is that when receiving an MMS it comes in as a group message between me and the sender instead of just coming through in the original conversation thread. Sending doesn't do this, it stays in the original thread of conversation. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm using the stock messaging app.
Other that that, the fix is working which makes me very happy.![]()
With that you need to enable split SMS for 160 characters. As far as rebooting...try different kernel settings as well

I thought so, but I don't see that option under settings at all though.
This is working for me in Dastins latest CM10.
- Download and place this file in /etc
- Set permissions to rw-r--r--
- That is a build.prop that has all the settings from the post in the OP (No need to go in and change the mmsc as I have done it for you). After installing. Go to /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases and delete the following:
- mmssms.db
- mmssms.bd-journal
- telephony.db
- telephony.db-journal
- Reboot your phone.
- Open Voice Dialer
- Say "open apn's"
- Select it and and press the dot on the right hand side where it says Sprint.
- Reboot again
- Profit
I'm seeing the same 'double recipient' issue on the same aokp rom.
Also, multi selecting threads don't highlight properly.
wooo thanks to krowley3 fix this is now confirmed working on gangnam style
I need to know if this will work with the newest P.A.C.man ROM, also, my Google Now won't bring me to the APN settings, only google searches it.
