Thanks for advice, just downgraded SW to 2B07, then to 2B06 - USSD don't work. I don't know what to do further... All worked before, what's the matter?..:mad:

A-a-a-a!!! It was fault of SIM card! Just inserted other simcard and USSD working good. Sorry :)

In my country one can find some chinese dual sim on ebay and/or second tier eshops, but usually you can find only older models and at crazy prices.

often you pay a local seller, but the phone arrive from china.

So the chinese shops like etotalk or merimobiles are still the best choice.

I suspect it will never will be upgraded to ICS or Jelly Bean... I know there is a ZTE phone (U880E) with hardware similar to the U960 which received the Jelly Bean update... but the U880E it's not dual sim and you need to rewrite the dual sim functionalities (dialer, contacts...) in order to use Jelly Bean...

To use the file
delete the old Vending.apk in /system/app then copy the new apk downloaded and copy it in /system/app/Vending.apk
then set perm, owner, and group to it to 644 root root via adb or terminal emulator with the commands
cd /system/app/
chmod 644 Vending.apk
chown 0 Vending.apk
chgrp 0 Vending.apk

Google has released version 3.7.15 of the play store app which fix the download problem. So now you can use the stock version 3.7.15 of the play store without problems...

The U960 "little" brother V889D, which is a dual sim too, has already the ICS rom.

Likely on that phone the porting is easier because is a standard DSDS phone.
 
Hi together,

I follow up this thread for maybe two weeks now and have the problem that no SIM card works in SLOT1.
It is completely unimportant if it is 128k, 72k, 64k, regardless of the vendor etc.
If I put the card (without SIM-Lock) into S1 the following cycle runs forever:

No RUIM Card (20sec.) > connected Network (2sec.) > No Service (15sec.) > No RUIM Card (20sec.) > ...

I bought the phone from ETO and the support is working on it but they don't find any good solutions.

I also tried every different ROM I can get, updated the Basebands in the whole range between B13 and 2B06. When I try to flash a baseband or rom to 2B08, the shown BB in the menu is still B06W or B06T.

I also tried all the solutions provided in this thread.
Does anyone has another idea?

if you dial the code *983*154# can you see the imei number of the phone?
