Agreed! Large screen and having fingerprint sign in for all my important apps has definitely supplemented for a lack of root, don't know how I lived without it, can only imagine the advantages with super user privileges
 
OK...let me start off by saying hello everyone.Old galaxy prevail guy coming back for root of the z981.nowww...I'm wondering what program does zte use to install the android system to the phone.if there is a dfu mode or download mode can't use grab the stock package and incorporate the root in the zip package as it installs it as a new system it would have the root inside already.I've seen it done.done it myself .Anyone shed some light on this

I'm pretty sure it's ftu or from. But the pro does have musicfx an BusyBox installed as system apps which are apps that are used with root not sure why they would be tho

I moved on to the LEECO LE S3 X626 as the zmax pro has no root at all a low amount of ram, and a processor that overheats so easily. My ZMAX PRO will be collecting dust for a bit.

Because ZTE needed it to do anti-Root testing. Yes, they were busted with a Root switch. Really. They also intentionally made ZTE OS's unstable with Root functions to deter ppl from trying to Root at all. Str8 up.

You have to get adb to recognize the device first. ZTE Flash in download mode, adb doesn't see the device.
 
What about the zte backdoor. I remember reading somewhere online like 4 or 5 months ago. Something to do with a weird 4th su. Cuz if i remember correctly dosent having root and unlocked bootloader on zte change the api to 2. Think it was DooMLoRd root. Not sure tho. Could be flailing rn for despiration.

What if we found a way to clone the device signature keys instead to the files and find a way to block ota check during update. Looking at a few files and hidden apk's I'm my phone through es and I came across a few I've never seen in any previous phones besides the sprint flagship HTC desire 626s

Could it be possible in our phones to inject root and SuperSU on an update zip and flash it. I know that @GameTheory has donevit in the past. I know he did it for the LG Stylo. Which I had same in several other devices... I have been trying to get in touch with him butvit has been impossible to find him same with @viperdink (very good fellas) that have done a lot for the community.
 
Not sure if I'm new to finding this but when powering up spam press the volume + & - to get into ftm. Was really weird. Looks like this on my phone
