Attempting to flash TWRP shouldn't cause a problem even if it fails. This isn't a normal phone though, so no telling what it would trigger.

Say I flashed TWRP and it failed, and the phone didn't self destruct. Would I be able to take OTAs?

it wont let me create Scatter file.. to flash twrp... This phone ita completely block to read the f*#** system OMG... can create nothing, can flash nothing ? Whats going on in here

Just read that tutorial on XDA. Did you see at the bottom it said marshmallow devices need to be flashed with a patched boot image before you can flash a recovery?

I'm thinking QPST/Qfil. There's a way to get it to edl mode. Miflash tool uses alot of the same lingo as QPST. Can someone see if zmax pro will connect properly to miflash tool for the Redmi 3 please? My laptop is not working properly

We need stock firmware to make these work.

How did you build it? I think anything we flash needs to be signed.

I can tonight. We really need to pull backups before anything.

On XDA there's a cool tool for Android One but the dev asks if you need it he will port/make it. So I requested. It don't hurt to try. See screenshot to get the info to find it on XDA. Sorry about the backdoor post. I know it's old. It keeps being brought up so I posted

This is where we should really be looking. The ones patched on December 1st won't be an option for anyone running B14. The ones from December 5th aren't patched on any of our devices.
Even if so, how do we fashion vulnerabilities/exploit

All of them won't work on our device, but some of them might. Reading the papers and figuring out if they apply to our hardware/software is the first step.

How do we exploit the potential CVE? Is it compile decompile script etc
