We really need a way to install recovery, or SuperSu before trying to flash a full ROM. I don't have access to a PC now, but will that software pull backups?

What is the MBN test apk in our file system for.. you guys might be on to something.. we also have engineer mode.. what is that for as well?I'm still on b12 advised by Messi.. I'm trying really hard not to update..

suggested that here long ass time ago. Even made a thread on xda about that. I found that file on b12 update. I was ignored on both forums. LOL.
I've been ignored to.. I think our devs are just being thorough with testing so they can answer us accurately.. we can also try modifying the LG g4 tool on XDA. I suggested it when we were just getting started but know one at the time here knew how to mod the .exe files. It was one of the 1st g4 tools.. it roots and possibly unlocks bootloader via adb

engineer mode ? do you mean factory mode like the one on samsung devices ?
Not sure.. I just remembered that it was achieved after one of our guys gave us a dialer code.. testers reported back it said engineer mode enabled on the toast..

Is there source code for it, or just an .exe?

Enter "Engineering Mode", by dialling *ZTE*OPENEM# (*983*673636#) -- this action will be confirmed by a quick pop-up. To close this mode, dial *ZTE*CLOSEEM# (*983*2567336#) -- this then prompts whether you want to do a Factory Reset, which you do not have to do (you can simply Back away from this screen).

I had a little message pop up that said the emode enabled I think, and then a bigger one popped up and said process cancelled. It disappeared really fast.

Anyone needing partition info there's an app called Disk info on Playstore. It's pretty detailed

I forgot about that. I am on b08 which my phone came with. When I typed the code in it just said emode enabled, so it must be working for me.

its show me this... but what we gonna do whit it ? Its unlock bootloader or something ?

Here is the 1st link I found with it.. it uses ADB and download mode.. need tweaking for our phone.. the creator might help.. I had trouble tracking down the XDA link..
That's not going to work. They're flashing a pre-rooted version of the stock ROM. We don't have that option, or a ROM. That's on Lollipop too.

I've done that on Samsung phones, but you can use Odin. We don't have any sort of software like that.

Qfil Quaalcom Flash Image Loader which is part of QPST can flash TWRP. It's interesting. Now I'm looking for a device like ours that it has been done on. It still may be option.

it wont let me create Scatter file.. to flash twrp... This phone ita completely block to read the f*#** system OMG... can create nothing, can flash nothing ? Whats going on in here
