testing and developing a dirty cow tool, if it works based upon security patches only B08 would be vulnerable, but will continue to look into other builds

Still on bo8 if you need a tester, look at what I said to Messi. That applies to you and anyone else developing as well.

I'm on B14 and been trying various flashtools. Miflash had the best luck. It failed but at least my zmax pro is seen by the flashtool. Maybe just need a different package to flash

Or even every person that wants root overload their email and customer support with requests and demands. At least until Messi figures it out. I have no doubt that's the person to get it done, but it'll take time.

no disrespect to anyone, but last time I checked android 6 needs a custom boot image for root. so in theory (correct me if I'm wrong)This means dirtycow won't even really help us because unless it can unlock bootloaders and reveal system partitions and reflash the kernel or boot image then our best bet is to wait for messi to port over thr zte fastboot tool, it would technically be an official tool with zte compatibility as a guarantee. also (hopefully) it won't trigger metro and T-Mobile unauthorized software locks which locks the device on a white screen if the system is tampered with in anyway ( if the device even has it, ive heard a couple cases). Secondly, we wont have any blocks, we can have systemless root and xyz.

TL;DR Dirtycow will not save us, we are better off waiting for Messi.

Messi prob wont get it. He's trying to modify the update zip for the Axon 7 to work with our device - which probably wont be possible because each device uses different keys and we have no clue what ours are. ZTE wont help us either. Even if he did manage to get the zip to work, it would probably brick the device before doing anything else.

the emmc programmer is the missing part , it seems that zte has signed it too so i'm not able to push it alongside twrp to the device.. i hex edited the axon 7 fastboot so that it can work on the zmax and we can access it to unlock the bootloader but I'm not sure if it will work..

Get at me in hangouts plz

What about a Bootloader/fastboot bypass? Can we build one? Idk so stressed. I'm limited to miflash to try to flash packages......Ideas?

I don't think so with where we're at. I'm pretty sure this phone will lock down if we were able to flash anything. I can write to the root directory now, but the phone restores anything at reboot.
