Any luck getting the Zmax PRO prog_emmc_firehose_8952 file?

Are you saying that if we obtain that file from a MetroPCS employee... root would be quite easy?

If so... just walk into a store and offer one of the people who work there $100 for it. Haha. I'm sure they'll probably do it.

Tried that yesterday...Lol had no idea what I was talking about. Assuming it will have to come from a ZTE service center not a retail location

Yes.. it would make root a done deal.. the only issue is getting it..

I am assuming prog_emmc_firehose_8952_lite is something completely different? If not I just found it. Just rename it from .doc to .mbn

I just skimmed through it in ES Text editor, maybe we have something here... Mostly gibberish to me though, so I am basing that on a very small amount of readable human English text in this file full of techno-gibberish and Chinese characters.

What happens if you rename to .Mbn and use QPST flash tool to try and flash to z981. From what I can gather from reading the file and converting to multiple encodings it appears to be a ZTE troubleshooting or quality control file

This is for the z11 mini

As you all know, nothing ever came of that "request" the ZTE support agent I spoke to weeks ago supposedly put in for the R&D department to communicate with us on the z-community forum. I just spoke to another one and she told me she will put a request in as well, and will email me about what happens. Hopefully something does happen this time.

*edit* And hopefully it's not a denial of the request or an appearance on the forum just to tell us "it's against our policy" or some other B.S.

If nothing happens this time either, we should schedule a day where we all talk to support and have requests put in or make complaints. Or we can all make separate complaint threads on z-community, or something of that nature. Worst we can do is sit quietly. I'll let you all know what happens with that email and all. In the meantime, I beg of you to not give up on this device if you're working on it. We gotta have something to fall back on if one thing fails. We should start petitioning KingRoot to work on our device as well. Maybe flooding requests like someone mentioned, I don't know if they have contact information anywhere.

They are saying they are negotiating with T-Mobile about unlocking the bootloader now. I don't know if it's true, but they mentioned it.
