I agree with @lambo352 you guys should focus on the mbn and leave the other stuff alone for now. By the way the price of the axon 7 has dropped to $399so I'm gonna buy one soon. I suggest y'all do the same, not just for root but for the upgraded screen Snapdragon 820 and 4 gigs of RAM. IM NOT SAYING GIVE UP ON ROOTING THE MAX PRO.
Thanks @Greysworld007.. That's why I jumped on the chance to trade for the v10. Just got a second one in an auction for $10.50.. I couldn't believe it & it arrives tomorrow so I might sell one. Back on topic.. For some of you guys lost in translation. The mbn has been reported to work around every issue this phone and similar devices have with root and unbricking if no back to stock firmware is available. No fastboot needed to flash recovery. It does it via download mode. You can also mod other stuff and sign everything yourself. Qfil will flash anything no matter who sign it. As long as its signed.. So if someone successfully create it for messi, he will add twrp to it. Then we can boot into twrp and flash SuperSU.. Pretty simple.. The hard part is getting someone to make working mbn files. Its very much possible from what I read..

It's confirmed it will work with any signer? I said awhile back I may be able to stitch a mbn together, but the problem at the time was signing.

Guys this is getting really redundant and pissing a lot of people off on zte. I'm sure that they are reading this I hope they are cuz if this phone does not get root I'll never buy another and I'm sure others will agree. But what if we are focusing on doing this ourselves too much and not pressuring zte? They have the info we need and I'm sure we can start a spam zte thread or something. After all we own our phones and whose to tell us we can't do what we wanna do?? We need the fire hose

Already been tried. Zte were little bitches about it and locked the thread. I have already decided not to buy another ZTE. I am saving up for an S8 Plus.

Could be interesting. With no actual data, all we have is an entrypoint though. That's even if we are using a broadcom SoC, which I can't verify. I could flood the radio with random data, but according to the developers of the exploit, it is complex which leads me to think it needs specific data piped at specific times. I think the firehose is more promising.

Let's just download all the viruses and malware on the internet and hope for one of them to gain root access

So I just been derping around on the web come to find out a lot of our android phone have other debug ports inside. Especially arm 7 procesors. Idk if that helps in any way

A while back we discussed app creation of the 08 exploit, why was this overlooked so quickly?

It's almost as if it was too much of a hassle and therefore no one has tried it.

If only I knew Linux more.

Quad rooter exploit works to get temp root as i have tested on a phone i had access to, but the phone shuts down immediately after gaining temp root.

Well hell, that is closer than anybody else has come. You were actually able to get temp root. Maybe we need to work on figuring out what is causing the reatart; how to block a restart long enough to permanently root it.

With the exploits quad rooter uses it causes the kernel to shutdown the device once root is assigned a new guid to allow temp root to have full root.

Not all temp roots help to get full root unfortunately.
I had a similar situation trying with kingoroot but in my case it caused the phone to freeze but it was still up but i didn't have the chance to check the selinux status or to push super su files

So it won't bring any progress to rooting this phone? To me temp root is the key.

F*** ZTE and there locked down devices. I too will never buy one of their devices. This phone would of been the business if only ROOT was achievable. You hear that ZTE you f'd up big you crap of a smartphone maker. Anyways excuse me gentleman carry on.

Using the quadrooter exploits no, but maybe another exploit could be possible.

The quad rooter specific exploit i used causes a buffer overflow that kills the security and temporarily hands off root to any user.

But once it requests su root via the second hand su file it restarts the kernel service and causes the phone to reboot.
