As a seasoned Linux user this made me laugh. The moo cow thing is an old school internet thing. Kind of like All Your Base Are Belong To Us.
You'll get a kick out of typing: apt-get moo

I have a question. What is symlink? Can you symlink busybox on this gnuroot terminal? Coz I don't know why it is saying busybox is not a command when I am in dir where all the executable commands are?

DOS works like that, but not linux.

Why dont you post in a more correct forum to learn more about linux and its commands?

why don't you just ignore me then there is an ignore button. Why are you antagonizing me? What's your beef, dude. This forum is just wow. Posters here are just wow. That's all.
Before you continue to try to come at me sideways homie, i was actually answering any and all questions you may have had.

Even the ones where you are gonna make people think you got root just to get there hopes torn apart.

Anyway its all good, goodluck to you all on finding root, im not gonna bother helping on a phone i dont have when you have immature people trying to start shit for no reason.

Hopefully you're linux expertise can find a real root with all the break through exploits you found like gnuroot!

Well homeboy, I am merely annoyed why you're antagonizing me for? I am putting out what I think will help root this and you are all gung ho on me for some reason so ignore me. Your problem solved. Aight?

GNUroot is an emulated root environment. It's not root just creates a shell.
Will not help you/us because nothing can happen outside of it.

Google Symlink for you: In computing, a symbolic link (also symlinkor soft link) is the nickname for any file that contains a reference to another file or directory in the form of an absolute or relative path and that affects pathname resolution.

Yap that is exactly what I think is the solution to the problem of gnu terminal not recognizing built in commands like busybox on the phone. I hope there's a command for that.

easy fellas.

Back on topic please, thanks ;)

No, everybody needs to keep trying. Have a feeling we're gonna be seeing a lot more phones like it by the time Nougat is prevalent.
Despite what some vigilante non-mod forum police think, feel some root ideas, even if not strictly pertaining to the zmax pro may eventually lead to root. If not for the infighting we may have been further ahead.

Just a thought..... Nothing for this phone is released other than the kernel source?
Why release it if we can't get root? There is and will be an exploit we find her soon... Another possibility is that the could be a way to root somewhere hidden in the kernel source? Idk yet as I have Kali Linux and don't know how to use it much. I am either Ubuntu or Linux mint but I can't seem to figure out how to create a bootable USB drive in Kali Linux. Looked online and everything can't figure it oit

Use any debian app available.

Kali linux is built using debian so a deb file will install.

How did you change the colors?

It's a screenshot from my Kyocera DF Pro. 2nd phone I've bought that came factory encrypted. I was just saying get used to more locked-down MM phones showing up, so we may as well keep trying to move forward with root on zmax pro. It may pave the way for rooting the next wave of locked MM devices like this one.
Not trying to rain over you're theory, but the encryption you are talking about is only encrypting user data meaning whats on the actual storage, not including system/cache/aboot/radio/etc..

So root would not be affected by system encryption.

Now as far as Android 7+ they have started a file based encryption where certain files can/will be encrypted while full disk encryption is active also (encryption described above).

The reason they have started this in android 7+ is because of all the exploits being used by hackers to root users who dont have or need root and stealing info.

Still in the pixel phones or newer nexus they still allow you to unlock the phone and use fastboot allowing you to root at your own will.

Wow... Things got a little hairy here while I was in hiatis. I have no success to report. I've exhausted my knowledge and what I've done and researched. There is a list posted here of everything that has been tried that I'll be updating sooner or later. If you still have b08, DO NOT UPDATE!! B08 is vulnerable to a couple of exploits. Best thing to do is find an app or tool made for a different phone that uses either vulnerability on b08, and modify it to work on our phones. Kernel Panic is our only way in.

I am on b08, and I think I have caused a kernel panic several times using a fork bomb on Termux. Freezes the whole phone and I cant do anything. Doesnt seem to work using the regular terminal emulator, but you can crash this phone every time by running a fork bomb in Termux. Problem is, I am not sure what/how to do after I have crashed the phone. The whole thing completely freezes and I have to do a hard reset. Once it hard reset itself a few seconds after the freeze. But I get these results consistently with a forkbomb run under Termux. Streaming music with Napster at the same time seems to speed up the crash, which doesnt take long to begin with.

Not necessarily true.. The most promising in is to build the mbn files for qfil and give it to messi for finishing touches.. A lot of devices have been rooted in this manner. We have people here saying they can build and modify apks.. Then why not take on the easier task of creating the mbn.. I traded my zmax pro so I can only advise on the easiest solution. But I guess you guys prefer the challenge of trying more popular methods.. If this way of thinking continues, you guys will go into savage mode and have a lot of miscommunication.. It happened to me a lot on the last root thread. I no longer have my zmax pro.. I traded my zmax pro for the lg v10.. I still want to see you guys succeed.. Like y'all said if no success, you will see more unrootable phones surface. If someone need instructions on creating mbn files for qfil, its on XDA in the g4 forum.. I posted a few pages back and have no interest in relocating it but its there.. Good luck guys and relax..

I agree with @lambo352 you guys should focus on the mbn and leave the other stuff alone for now. By the way the price of the axon 7 has dropped to $399so I'm gonna buy one soon. I suggest y'all do the same, not just for root but for the upgraded screen Snapdragon 820 and 4 gigs of RAM. IM NOT SAYING GIVE UP ON ROOTING THE MAX PRO.
